Now that you’ve learned the basics of mixing, you can adjust the sound of your mix using the equalizer (EQ). You can also try the mixer effects (FX) to make transitions between tracks more exciting and to enhance your sound.
USING EQ KNOBS
Turn the LOW EQ knob to the left to remove the bass of the next track before the transition. After the transition, bring the bass back in by turning the knob to the right. Try using the individual EQ knobs to adjust the sound of your tracks.
INTRODUCING MIXER FX
Enhance your sound and create even more exciting transitions by using one (or all) of the Mixer FX (effects). Press one of the FX SELECT buttons to choose an effect.
USING MIXER FX
Now turn the knob next to it in any direction to apply the selected FX. In the center position, the Mixer FX is inactive. You can apply the FX separately to both of your decks.
