1.1.2 Update: Added a newer version of Adlais 1.1.2 (NOT the most current), and three factory LFOs linked to Adlais controls via IC Sends, plus a lot of new Master-level snaps, and suggest bpm of 72.5 as a good compromise rate for all snaps—certainly advise trying many other settings, of course, as well as different synths, IC connections, etc.

Wow, LOVING this new sequencer from David Elson and Brett Lavallee, so I made some snaps for it based on the excellent original set of 14. I first set this up running non-Reaktor synths via Reaktor's external MIDI, but soon switched back to all Reaktor, where I eventually hit upon the combo featured here: Adlais to NanoWave into FlatBlaster, which I found so interesting I decided to upload it as the wrapping for my snaps (which can of course be saved out and inserted into Adlais all by itself—and which will hopefully still work in future versions, which I gather we're to expect:), so the package also includes a set of Master snaps for that trio, which is also where the first two demo mp3s come from. I always set snaps to follow the active (clicked) instrument, in which setup you simply click the ensemble background to see and select the Master snaps. The final demo is an example of Adlais driving an AU plugin running inside Logic (the fabulous Diversion), which also has its internal arpeggiator running, just another little bit of serendipity, like discovering that really low BPM can be very satisfying with Adlais, hence the used bpm info in the Master snap names… The other point worth making, I think, is that Adlais is very much a performance device, rewarding manual as well as automated changes, even very small ones, to all the controls, not just the ones that can be automated. I found that just bumping up one or two offset controls by a single notch or two on a simple running pattern really powerful. And then I tried changing the Length number on the Mute Seq while the thing was running! In some cases, especially when running very slowly, whoa! Instant note flurries, for who knows what reason, very handy! Thanks Dave and Brett; excellent new tool!
