random ReRouter
8 in/8 out re-router with random functionality
DESCRIPTION
This block provides 8 inputs and 8 outputs. The source of each output can be selected individually and modulated using standard A/B-modulation.
Selecting between the different input ports can be done without transition, with linear or with exponential fading. As this is quite CPU-intensive the previous version without fading is also included.
In addition it is possible to activate overwriting the selected input by a random-channel, which can still be modulated. The random-channel for the selected outputs is whenever a chosen whenever a trigger at the random-port is received. When disabling this feature, the value of knob is being used again.
To keep track of the connected inputs and outputs, labels of the channels can be changed easily. To do so, just click on the related label and change the text in the info-tab accordingly.
The easiest way to use this is connecting the inputs with up to eight modulation sources and the outputs with modulation-inputs of different blocks. This way it is possible to store the use of different modulation-sources per snapshot and not per ensemble. Alternatively the audio-path can be changed per snapshot.
A more advanced use would be modulating the modulation-source or audio-path.
If you want to dive in deeper you can enable randomization for some output-channels. This way, whenever a random-trigger is received or whenever the random-button is pressed, the inputs of those channels change randomly.
