Spectra Morph
Multi-effects spectral processor.
DESCRIPTION
This is a flexible, morphable, controllable spectral effects processor. Each effect can manipulate a certain part of the frequency spectrum.
You can store 4 variations of the assignment knobs in the X/Y pads four corners and morph between them. To assign a parameter to a control, position the X/Y cursor in 1 of the 4 corners of the pad so that the Save button shows either Save 1, 2, 3, 4. Click the number above the assignment knob to reveal the assignment menu and depth parameter. Position the assignment knob to the setting you want to store. Then click the save button.
The modulation section features 4 LFO's that each consist of 2 wavetables you can separately assign a large number of different shapes to and morph between them for some interesting modulation effects. To morph the waves simply drag up or down on the wave table or the arrow next to it. When the wavetable position is at either 1.00 or 2.00 you can insert and edit that wave table. You can manipulate the waves using the Wave, Volume and Offset parameters. Assign up to two parameters to each LFO and set the rate using hertz or sync to host bpm using beats. You can also morph the wavetable and modulate the rate using the knob parameter assignments and the LFO parameter assignments themselves.
The Spectra Effects section is where you can really explore the subtleties of effecting multiple sections of the frequency spectrum of the audio you are processing. Some effects work off of each other such as the Delay, Diffuse, and Feedback effects. Experiment applying a shaper or pan, for example, to a specific part of the frequency spectrum.
I find this works really well on transforming and dynamically morphing drum loops. The Variations section allows this to be used as a performance tool.
Enjoy!
Edit:
Version 1.1 added some info and a couple of presets (new ones don't have variations yet - will add later.)
