DESCRIPTION
jambient CycloTron is an experimental instrument designed for modulating the playback speed of a set of samples, mixing them, and positioning them in sonic space.
It's inspired by Steve Reich's tape pieces
"Come Out" and "It's Gonna Rain."
You can treat the central instrument in this ensemble--jamCycle and the Cyclotronic Landscaper--as a set of 8 reel-to-reel tapeloops with control for drifting their speed up and down, or changing all their speeds simultaneously.
Once again, this ensemble in the jambient
series is geared to live jamming, to non-beat oriented ambient collage and to sculpting sound in time and space through a graphical interface.
