DESCRIPTION

this is a core version of andy robin's arp odyssey mkiii with a notable (significant) difference: this has one oscillator bank (instead of two).

in standalone on my machine, andy's original ensemble uses 16% cpu. on my machine, my version, by comparison (which is now entirely contained in a single core cell - whether this is good or smart I have yet to determine), uses 8% cpu. as a vst in renoise, this uses even less - about 6%.

please note - andy's version was mono. mine is too. also note: routing information is included in the instrument info.

there are around 60 snapshots included. also check out the mp3, made using 6 simultaneous instances of the armk3 in renoise, which maxed out at 30% cpu.

considering the differences, I think this still sounds pretty good.

so here it is: a(ndy)r(obins)mk3

v2.1 takes care of the sustain issue
v3 fixes an errant envelope mod (thanks staver)

v3.2 fixed an unconnected wire

REGARDING SUSTAIN. The update will fix this on monday, but for those who can't wait, go into the structure and remove the log2sec converter before the s(ustain) - and then reconnect the wire, of course. the converter is not only unnecessary but improper.

yes, I ditched the AR and kept the adSr, so sustain should still be possible.

hi Colin, Andy had a choice between 2 different Envelope shapers. there was an ADSR and AR, and a button to switch between the 2 of them. the VCA could be modulated by either the AR (no sustain) or the ADSR (with sustain).

ya know, that's the way its wired in andy's and I haven't figured it out either. if you're interested, thomas chronz has an odyssey in the ul that andy based HIS on, and you can use it for reference. but if you want to wait, I'll attend to this issue soon.

Ah yes, that is better. BUT... i still think you could include more informtion on the knobs regarding modulation routings. it is still a bit of a head scratch to work out what is happening. thanks for the upload.
