DESCRIPTION

yet another randomated sample mangler!? sorry, but i couldn't resist. based on an oldie but goodie, GrainSynth.

please read the usage notes (popup for the instrument). if you run into cpu load problems (and you probably will), just turn off one or two raMblers. you'll miss out on some density, but the flow will be more interesting.

Absolutely worth 10. This may be best multi-purpose sound generator. And: when you hit random theres no extra noises. There might be a switch which occurs when sample starts playing new point, but its nothing. I started modding this into midi-sync, but I dont know... eagles dont fly in cages. I ended with 6 midi-sync lfo:s for amplitudes, but... "Its not there!"

I've been using this more and more recently and just wanted to come back here to say: What a great Ensemble! Fed with ambience recordings, voices, birdsounds but also musical textures and solo instruments one can create incredibly dense and strange "musical" textures.

It takes some time to tame it but this is a great invention. Thank you Rick! Simon

warning: gNash raMbler blithefully ignores 'the grid' (pulse, meter, tempo), so beat lovers will probably be disappointed at the sounds that emerge from loading beat loops into it. raMbler is at its best creating a gloriously chaotic/ordered racket, a feverish dream of the samples you feed it. :-)
