DESCRIPTION

1.2:

after a whole time of doing nothing, here comes the (long finished) version with copy/paste functionality for the sequencers.

1.01:

- solved bug in the reverser
- reverser knob "bars" cannot be set to value 0 anymore
- sampler now detects trigger tempo (reaktor must set to the same tempo as the sampleloop!!!)

this is a much smaller, sequenced only version of my first glitch-effect "Toxonic Glitch".
it consits basically of 3 realtime fx:
- stutter fx with variable speed and pitch control
- a stretcher with variable speed control and a button to adjust the grainsize (grainy)
- a reverser with variable speed control and a buuteon to adjust the bufferlenghth (bars)

bugs: the reverser sometimes does'nt work, but i still could'nt figure it out.... if someone finds it out, please gimme a hint! ;)

@ timothy: yes, it's the row for triggering the stutter effect. the other two are for speed and pitch. try the scene in the pic on this site and leave the 4th step enabled and next time disabeld, then you will hear what its for... my english is to poor to describe what i mean, sorry...

great ensemble - i'm a little confused as to what the 3rd row in the Stutter module is for, could you give me a clue?

@ soarer #1: the copy/paste function is embedded, but before i upload the new version: are there some other suggestions for a new version?

Elegant and simple. I like the insides too. When modules are with similar inputs its easy to build things further and to adapt to some other use.

@ marc: sounds interesting, i didn't think about that kind of feature.... i'll give it a try. @ soarer: i never use the copy/paste functions in sequencers, but this seems to be a clever idea.... ;)

Thanks Mr. Schneider! This is really great. I love that you can have different pitches of the reversed signal. Being able to copy/paste in the sequencers is on my suggestion/wish list. Sonictwist are you watching? ;-)

I have a suggestion - how about either a filter of some type or a phaser, connected to the output of the thing which outputs the grain length, which would in turn control the filter cutoff amount or effect modulation/send/mix etc? So in theory (of which I can demonstrate none as I'm not even a partially-fledged reaktorizt), the stuttered output will be further affected by S&H-type filterism or some sort of stepped/randomised phaser, retriggering in sync as the grain size or stutter clock increases/decreases...(sorry for the dodgy termination), love markoos

top job always apreciated your granular sequencers plus i find your work great for learning. keep them rollin joachim this stuff rocks oh and if you fancy you could help me out on the glitchdevice i have used your stretch module as a keyboard triggered as you may know. what would be cool is if you could make a small kind of algorythmic random front end dsp type device.it would be cool to colaborate.?

yes, the sampler is just an example, i suppose microglitch to be used as an effect in a daw, for example on a drum-track.... so, don't care about the sampler.... ;)

i like this, but it seems that you always have to use samples that are 4 bars long. can you change the sequencers so that you can use shorter samples?

thank you! some suggestions, maybe? well, the bars knob is to adjust the buffersize - no buffer, no audio! ;) but that's not the problem, the reading position inside the corecell does not work sometimes, but the corecell was one of my first experiments in core, i should overwork it...

very interesting. a lot of things i would change around, just to make it work the way i like things too, but very cool. for the rev. all i have noticed so far is that if the bars knob is at 0, the rev. stops audio.

Thanks much for sharing this very intuitive and useful effects box--probably one of my favorite fx i've seen in the UL ever (I'm not exaggerating). I especially like how easy it is to work with it in real time without having to muck around too much learning what goes where. 10/10.

note: the sampler is for test purposes only, u can use every audio input.... in my opinion it sounds better than his big brother and is more easy to edit.... have fun!
