DESCRIPTION

Converts audio signal (monophonic) to MIDI data, in realtime.

v1.9 :
- fixed (hopefully) : the tracking error at the lowest octave, that has a tendency to jump to the highest octave unintendedly when the note is sustained.
- added : new 'Drive Mode' option, which is an attempt to simulate overdriven lead guitar character on the MIDI notes. This mode has tighter space between note ons and retriggers.

v2.0 :
-fixed : display error on note ons indicator, improved gate stability on Drive Mode.
-added : sample rate divider for internal sampling rate within the pitch detector (can be used to reduce CPU usage), gate / trigger sensitivity control. Switch to view 'B' on the instrument to access these controls.

also now there's an example ensemble that shows how to set up the instrument's audio input, and MIDI out with a synth.

I've been looking for something like this for awhile, very awesome! But when I load it, it only comes up plugged into junction. I'm a noob to patching stuff , any way you can walk me through setting it up , with say monark??

Whoohoo!! been looking for a long time this - great job and thanks for sharing! @ Elia: in Live, load voice keys in a Reaktor FX into an audio channel (say channel 1), set "audio from" to external. to record midi notes, take an empty midi channel in live (channel 2) , set "midi from" to "channel 1/ reaktor fx", arm it, record, there you are...

Hi Elia, I'm not experienced at all with Live unfortunately, so i really can't help on the routing setup detail..... But in general, yes, Reaktor MIDI Out port should be connected to a MIDI track if we want to record the output data...

Dear Bertrand, Work on Live 8.2.1, If I open Voicekeys2, either IAC nore intern routing works. Do i have to connect a "Midi Out" with reaktor? Sincerely, would be great, since i am lookin for a solution to record midi notes into Live by singin into Voicekeys...Elia

Better than the guitar synths of the eighties! Excellent playability with minimal latency. And all the inspirational sounds of Reaktor under your guitar pick. A great piece of work indeed.

Where did you read about it ? :D This is an instrument, so you'll need to load it on synth ensemble first. Then connect the audio input you're gonna use to this instrument's audio in, and finally connect the MIDI to the synth. Please check the Reaktor manual for details about the connection.

I read a lot about this pluggin but am a bit lost as to how to use it... All files are in .ism format.. What are those? Can I run the pluggin directly into Logic? If so, could someone please walk me through it? Thanks!

I'm really looking forward for the new version.. What I meant by playing bass is basically I play electric guitar using VoiceKeys,so want to get best result from Virtual Bass (GarageBand,Logic Studio,Reason Instruments...etc..) Cheers . You rock man...you should consider to make a professional software ( Audio to midi in Real Time )..You're very good !!

I'll update it soon enough i think :) For bass i can't really help much, i don't have bass for testing, also i've tried with loops and the result isn't too good..

Thanks for your reply, are you planning to make a new version of VoiceKeys, some new improvements...etc ? anytime soon ? btw..any good settings for playing bass ? cheers.

Thanks Marcel ! Yes, it says v1.8 because i just updated the description only, last version is v1.7. For now, i suggest using VoiceKeys because i put lots of new stuff and improvements that hasn't been on FretKeys yet, in fact FretKeys was just a variation from older version of VoiceKeys. I already tried making the poly converter, but i removed it because it's not really playable at all. If you want i could upload it again, although don't expect much from it ;) Cheers !

Hi Bertrand , I have to say a BIG thank you.This is the plugin a was looking for many years.I'm using it with Logic Pro Instruments as midi controller via my guitar and it's awesome ! The latency is almost zero wich is excellent for playing in real time.I've tried your FretKeys but I didn't find as good as VoiceKeys ( btw ,I'm guitarist ) Perhaps I didn't set it up in the right configuration. Could you give me a good advise how to get the best result ? Shall I use FretKeys or VoiceKeys for my guitar ? (Accuracy,PitchBend...etc) Also,did you try to make a Polyphonic Audio to Midi Plugin ? That would be the best thing I can ever wish. Thank you in advance Marcel
