Transforming Ensemble
DESCRIPTION
Okay, this one is in the test area for a reason! It takes about 1 minute to load on my machine. I cannot figure out why it takes so long to load. Any ideas on how to fix this? Please let me know.
This ensemble can be re-fashioned for many different purposes - from standard subractive synths to effect units, sample manglers, even simple physical modelling.
It consists of 24 'slots'. Each slot can have 1 module loaded into it. The routing can be dynamically rerouted at will, so you can create a nearly infinite number of possible devices.
I created a few dozen snapshots so hopefully you can get a very basic feel for what it can do. I am no DSP expert and this is my first 'real' synth, so it is bound to have a few errors and bugs, please report them and i will do my best to fix. Any suggestions at improving the synth engines in any way would be greatly appreciated.
Almost every panel element has documentation, so if you find yourself confused just turn on info and hover over elements, there's an extensive amount of documentation available in this way...
Megatron can be quite complicated to learn to use properly.
You must choose the devices you want to use and create the routing between them. Many modules can be either mono or poly, so you must take care to create a proper signal flow.
I suggest you keep the volume very low while making your own presets!
If you do figure out how to program it and create some snaps, please send them my way and I will include them in the next update as well as give you credit.
With the help of this community I think megatron has some serious potential to grow into something very powerful.
