Massive Modular
Drum production center with independent instruments for sequencing, sampling and midi-interface.
DESCRIPTION
A drum loop production center based on massive.
My idea was, to have a tool where all my drum sequences can be stored an edited, with seperate control over sequences and drumkits.
I realized this on the base of the Massive Sequencer. It turned out to be a really powerful tool for creating drumloops.
Additionally I added an Midi interface to Battery (or any other application), a corresponding automation map for battery is included in the zip.
Overview of additions to the massive-original:
A. Massive Sequencer
1. Record midi sequences via the Copy/Paste buffer.
2. Added more masking possibilities, playable via midi-notes 0 to 7.
Note: Sometimes, when loading a new snapshot, the sequencer is disabled. then press a mask-button and it´s running again...
3. Half Time mode for each sequencer track
4. New modulation track for better control over pitch modulation
5. Each Sequencer track can be step shifted indivdually, and you can shift all tracks. individual track settings will then be shifted repectively.
B. Sampler
1. Master modulation can be disabled for each track
2. Added instant creativity-feature: randomization for drum sounds
3. Pitchbend wheel
4. Additional send channel for external fx
C. Battery Interface
Works much the same like the sampler.
Please note:
1. In the included automation map, the channels control a row in battery. if you select a midi note outside this row, the controls won´t affect the chosen sample cell in battery.
2. Master Tune, Master Decay, Master Saturation and Master Select affect the settings of the individual tracks, the other master control send ccs.
Included a Master Midi Delay (ms and steps).
C. Global FX
I added an 2-pole multifilter with pre and post-drive in front of the master eq.
I also added a stereo spread control, wich spreads frequences above the F x-over, freq below are kept in mono.
Notes:
There are no sample maps included.
I want to thank all contributors to the user library, it´s always inspiring and helpful to see what and how people do things.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome. If you find bugs, I don´t want to have them back.
Edit: fixed a bug in the Battery interface channel 1
