Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

Flexible Compressor

Ratios and thresholds preset, as well as a 'Variable Mu' mode with characteristics taken from another well known model.

Attack and Release times suggested by a well known hardware model. (in Vari-U these are multiplied)

Key can be internal (feed forward, feed back) or external, and there are lo and hi pass filters for the keys

Thanks to the James Clark for the VU meter from his Stereo Monitor ensemble.

Good Luck, and don't forget numbers are meaningless. Use your ears.

UPDATE - fiddled with the 'analog' input and output gain characteristics, added a pad in the key signal path. There's two files in the zip; the original and the new improved version.

thanks,

ben

ps.
ms mod right around the corner

Those knobs are horrible... they bounce and go all over the place. :( Can you please consider fixing them? :)

I am having good results using this for Sidechaining in Maschine - I have added a simple Sequenced Sampler to achieve this. I am finding the knobs very fiddly to change with a Mouse though, but assigning them to Maschine Macro knobs solves that issue. For me this is one of the best Reaktor Compressors, so for that this upload gets a 10 for me!

i really like this! i love the GUI (i started using computers later in life so my sub conscious relates to the layout) Sound wise i have only used it on layered kicks so far and it was perfect (it kept the low end there!!) will use this many times;) MORE GUIs LIKE HARDWARE YOU CLEAVER PEOPLE! thank you

ah yes- these knobs are orientated so the current position is indicated at 3PM; so it's 90 degrees away from normality in that sense. makes it all seem sideways, but like I say, you're better off not knowing the numbers anyway, as the left hand side of your brain will confuse your ears. thanks for the UAD comparison; that style is what I was after, although it's been 20 years since I heard a hardware 1176.

Those numbers are indeed meaningless. 3o' clock value says no input or whatever...:-). Anyway, looks like a nice peace of work, made an A-B with my UAD, it sounds good. Thank you for sharing...
