DESCRIPTION

XoYel is foremost, a formant filter. However, its vowel modulation is done through accessing and interpolating between three established band-pass filter cutoffs sets using two 2-dimentional tables. Standard vowels, like OO, EE, AA, etc are achieved by drawing in extreme values into the event tables, i.e. the very top and bottom for either. Yet when we start drawing in paths, we get interesting and unexpected results through interpolation. Each path can be synced to tempo, or freely established. The “Offset” parameter alters the speed of each table playback, so out-of-phase results can be established. “Intensity” is for the formant intensity. It should be noted that this parameter should be adjusted with CARE, seeing as resonant feedback (filter self oscillation) could occur if the source sound has particularly strong resonant frequencies. The “Master” parameter is used to attenuate the formant effect if clipping should occur. I have included a “Lo” and “Hi” option if you wanted to make up any lost but desirable low or high frequencies. Future updates will include a tempo sync option for the gender LFO.
Thanks, and enjoy!

I know this is a super old ensemble, but I REALLY like the way it sounds! I'm definitely not sold on the GUI, but it's very good for coming up with semi-random stuff. Feeding long sounds through it for resampling will be perfect, and the gate sync is exactly what it needs. I may be a few years late in saying it, but nice work!
