DESCRIPTION

Please Note: This doesn't make sounds - it is a purely graphical toy.

It was developed ages ago as part of a forum discussion.
I figured as it's good fun with lots of snaps, that I would upload it for those who didn't see the original thread.

Mostly I like it because it demonstrates how amazing even really simple maths can be - just 3 superimposed sines with variable offset, phase, frequency and amplitude.

Maybe one day, I'll add some sort of audio detect to turn it into a 'visualization' effect.

Hi Paule, sorry it took ages to reply - we don't get notifications, and I don't check through the old stuff very often. Probably best to post on the forum, or send a PM there. FWIW, you are welcome to use spirodaft in your own ensembles, just give me a credit somewhere :)

@Alberto Colour control in Reaktor would mean using a multi-display intead of an XY. Someone did do this with an early version (search the forum), but I didn't like the flicker and glitches. It should be pretty easy to clone in Processing. I had a bad start with Processing - the hello world example threw exceptions. Haven't looked at it since.

(mind blowing)^2. BRAVO!. Wouldn't it be nice to add some colour control? I'm thinking to radial colour gradients, or variations around the same colour. I wonder if something similar could be done in processing.
