DESCRIPTION

****Requires Reaktor v5.9******

I've added Scaler,harmonizer,tie s, switch seqs and finally managed to make a snapseq that works how i wanted.i've also done a read me explaining whats what.There are still areas that haven't been able to tamed and may result in the odd stuck note.
any problems please report.

fixes a problem when used as aplug in ,missing step 1,but i think i've fixed it

Tamed the VR's,so they don't give stuck notes and stop at next on step.

Expanded midi thru and got rid of stuck notes when changing channels.

To Marcus: As far as I have understood it is a sequencer - so you need to send the MIDI output to something that can make a sound - or add a synth/sampler of some sort inside Reaktor

Is there a manual for this sequencer, or a description of the sections? Just starting to use it, seems very powerful, but quite confusing at first. Overall, I have a feeling this is a very powerful sequencer! Great job Michael!

PS why when i type .ens with out the . does it get "corrected" to end.can i stop it?

It was down to prism,I'd imported seq into prisms .ens and then deleted prism,but the seq was still with in prisms .ens. there were still prism snapshots in banks, a lesson learned.Glad everything ok now. enjoy+experiment mike

The only thing i can think thats causing that is i recently bought prism and had been using it as a test synth,I thought i'd deleted it all but maybe there is some of it left somewhere.To make sure I'll double check no prism and resave and upload. sorry mike

I drive Reaktor 5.9 and when I load your ens Reaktor told me to activate my system. My system is activate since last update to version 5.9 - so I delete you ens from my computer!

Reaktor is now at 5.9 and the seq requires that version, the new version has taken away limits on how many modules you can use,in my case it has allowed for more modulation destinations,ie more ic sends. the update is free and available on the web site. sorry i should have said mike

crashes on me (vst plugin in ableton or reaper under win7 64), telling me i don't have the latest reaktor ver installed although i definitely do have r5.8 installed !

Another interesting ens is MetaSequencerX24 which looks very complex and i haven't got my head into it yet and the graphics are a bit asque,but hopefully the engine is good,requires some time i think!

PS have you tried Koyanaquatsi arp, that looks very vairiable.

The gate functions change slightly when using the repeat functions.To avoid stuck notes and other midi excentrisitys,i made the repeats devied the gates,so 1 repeat should half gate settings,2 repeats 1/3 gate. this may be where your "moving gate" is coming from.Saddly i don't have ablton to test your problem,I use logic and feed it from a stand alone version of seq,with no sync i just set the tempos the same, then quantize to 1/96 notes and drag all notes forward to the start beat,not ideal but it does work,syncing via midi clock is dread full.several seqs playing multi timbral synths(omnisphere) is great fun.I'm looking into stacked macros next,once i get this snapseq sorted(i'm struggling a bit). also, by using arps on different midi channels in ableton live 9, and just one instance of your sequencer, i'm able to achieve stunning results on different instruments. also, hmm. one bug, maybe an ableton bug. the sequencer stops putting out notes if its not visible for some time. and i have to click on the track its on for it to continue..

at the moment i built an ableton live arp rack with built in midi arps and max4live midi fx and i place my arp rack on separate midi channels after the sequencer chain.... pretty sweet action. i'm curious. i don't use the cc/lfo's on your sequencer. i took them out of the ensemble to have a bare bones sequencer,... but, the sequencer' Gate function keeps moving as though its being lfo'd. thoughts? again..truly love this sequencer!

Just to say that if you have any problems with snap seq just switch it off,there are still afew issues with it that I'm trying to sort out.

I have been having problems with stuck notes when playing thru logic,that didn't seam to be there when playing a synth direct from reaktor. It turns out that logic does not pass "all note off"commands thru.So the kind folk at logic pro help made up a fix for me,it seams to work a treat. If anybody is wanting this fix let me know and i'll post it(if i'm aloud to post logic stuff" mike(who is now putting all his hair back in)

Glad that you like the seq,I know what you mean with vairiable step repeat no.s,but the repeat function is what is causing glitches(I think)so i'm going to have to look at another way and if possible do more repeats.Also in the new snap seq section you can specify different step lengths in steps of 1/16 notes,and i'm wondering what would happen if i made that the master clock for all rows/lanes.But at the moment i'm still trying to get the snap seq to flow better and not give stuck notes occasionally when changing from a mad snap to another mad snap(its usually with lots of fast repeats and changing snap mid seq)Lots to think about.It still does everything else ok and if i can't take it any further,i'm pleased with where i've taken it(further than i ever thought i'd manage) mike

I like the seq and the features you have implemented. I have a suggestion by the way...... is it possible that you can choose how often a step is repeated like 2, 3, 4...8 per step. that would be a nice feature. thanks for your hard work.

Thanks year zero,glad you like the updates,I'm starting to worry about it becoming "bloatware",but things just get more useful and stable.I want to look at the trigger lanes and see if they can be improved(for switching glide on/off predictably) o and a master on/off switch for when using more than one.I'm basically learning as i go which is why so many updates. mike

Hi Eric I've just had a look at seq with massive,if you load mass ive as an ens then add seq as a inst it syncs fine but when you add massive to the seq ens then there is no sync with massive,odd i have made a sync out for the seq but it needs patched to massive, But i'd like a more elegant solution ie no patching req,i suspect its to do with clock master,i look into it, I haven't had any problems with un responseiveness or the mute buttons recking everything,i am working with reaktor 5.8 so may be thats where the problems lie,Will post a version inc massive patched for sync,oo and watch out for swing/shuffle settings as they can make things out of time with each other ie massive set with a swing beat and seq not,it will sound outa time (sometimes good some times bad)Massive doesn'tseam to be keyboard transposeable so the pitch control won't work,but i did have a control lane controling the transpose function. Also be aware if keyboard transpose is switched on when you first load up it defaults to c-3, so play a note on you keyboard to get a higher pitch(i want to look at that aswell). hope this helps mike

Looks great...it maybe down to my own mental retardation, but I'm not really seeing that it works. I had it start up fine as a controller for Massive...but simply pushing the top button above the first step seemed to render the sequencer inoperative no matter what I did. Reloaded...but same...no response no triggering of Massive. I loaded Spiral in place of updated mono liner and that worked....also it doesn't seem to be fully triggering the internal synth you included especially well. I'm on the latest version of Reaktor, Mac 10.7.5....dunno

I've just discovered a bug when useing the velocity master to add velocity,if a step is muted then it will still play if velocity is added.I know why I've just to sort it. With reguards to scales(hi karel) I'm sure a scaler macro could be added to the output if required
