I miss my ZOOM MS-70CDR, but my dad couldn't find one in Göteborg!

- I'm named after the TR-808 and my initials are RAP. I have to make some beats per these at least!
My musical background start lies within orchestral settings, as I began playing trumpet when I was 10 years old in a concert band. The school I was enrolled in didn't have my favorite instrument, the French horn. As a result, I wasn't too thrilled about playing the trumpet. It wasn't until I began seeing more repertoire, as opposed to exercises, that I actually gained interest in playing. In the end, I'm thankful that I gained my embouchure and foundation for music at that age, as I had the opportunity to learn the French horn five years later. I am by no means an expert in music from playing for ten years, but it has inspired my style for electronic production, multiple instruments at once, and monophony instead of chords.
My father inspired me to create digital audio, as I was curious what he was doing. His style of production involved synths and effects, as well as sampling to achieve club and techno productions. He is also responsible for introducing me to Hip-Hop. I started to perform in a jazz band at the age of 13, which introduced me to newer ways of beat making, and boom-bap. I gravitated to electronic music from his inspiration and my obsession over ambience from 80s Synth music. The era of dubstep helped with an explosion of tutorials for Massive on YouTube.
I was introduced to Native Instruments from a friend who had pirated an illegitimate copy of Kontakt 4 and Maschine 1. Though these copies didn't function, their application icons made me curious, and led me to native-instruments.com. Since then, I have been using Maschine as my DAW, as I couldn't get any results from Logic Pro X, Ableton Live 9, nor FL Studio 11. The integration and simplicity of NI software and hardware keep me coming back for more.
I've been a part of the beta testing community as well, but haven't been as active. Hopefully I'll be more active here, as I'm finally creating this account!
