I've found that for all updates, no matter the software take 6 months to fix, unless its a critical update.
i have a self imposed rule due to previous updates, always stay 1 version behind. Let someone else work out the problems first.
you can also monitor what programs are using what resources if you run the task manager, (ctrl+alt+del) handy to do before you start a live set
Its worth setting up a separate user for just your dj'ing if your on windows, you can type in msconfig in your run box, to show what programs are...
