Please post your bugs with 1.1 here. It would be helpful if you give your system specs and whether this applies to KORE as a standalone, plugin or both. If you're reporting about KORE as a plugin, your host and version would be helpful.

Hello,
I am using Kore v1.1.0.006 on WinXP SP2, here is a list of bugs I noticed:

- When leaving the Pre-Listen mode in the browser without applying any sound, the name of the last prelistened sound is written to the name of the selected channel, instead of the name of the sound that is really on this channel. In other terms, the prelisten mode is not transparent and unconfigure, at least, the name of the selected channel.

- Don't know why but searching by name the sound 'TechnoX' from FM7 in the browser, the list is not refreshed until I have
completly written 'Technox'. Seems that the search tool also search in attribute names (so the list was updated with all sounds that have 'Techno' attribute) and not only in sound names.

- VERY BIG PB: sometimes (often in fact), the performance becomes corrupted. I have built and saved a performance with three FM7/8 instruments. When reloading the performance for the third time (sometimes, the first time), the problems are:
1. The FM8 EA1 and FM8 EA2 pages are duplicated with two blank pages having the same name, so in the Page Manager, I have four FM8 EA pages instead of two in the read-only channel pages zone, then, I can not delete them, and these blank pages also appear on the controller screen.
2. In the performance view, the name of the sound should be written above the Fx and under the Kore icon of the main zone. Instead of that, it's written 'Untitled'. Only the channel name has kept the name of the sound. But the sound is still playing.
3. The volume of channels is resetted
4. Perhaps other things I haven't yet noticed, but sure, the performance files are not correctly reloaded.

New one just noticed:
Kore v1.1.0.006 - WinXP SP2
the control pages of the controller do not act as a matrix. Suppose I have 2 FM8 instruments, being on the Inst1>Mixer page, pushing the left button, I don't go to the Inst2>Mixer page as I should, but I always go to the Inst2>FM8 EA1 page, whatever the precedent page was.
This pb is perfectly reproductible, and in fact, occurs always !

I'm experiencing similar problems on my MacBook Pro Intel setup with 1.83Ghz processor, external fw drive for samples. I'm running Kore 1.1, Komplete 4 package set up.

I can't get the Control Pages to stay once I conform a new performance set up. The read only sounds get lost and just blank pages show up. In some instances one or two of the read pages make it over to the user side of the page manager in both the performance and sound page set ups.The original read only pages aren't corrupted, but are not available except from the page editor.

Sorry to say but I'm giving up on Kore until the bugs are worked out. For live giging I need something dependable so I'm going back to my K2661 set up. I can't even get things properly configured as mentioned in my previous post. See you all when the bugs are worked out.

My Korecontroller is crashing when I try to record knob movements in Live 6.
When I activate a Live Channelstrip with the record button play something on the keyboard and move some knobs of Kore, anything is ok. But when I activate the record button of a clip in this channelstrip that I can record something and move the Kore knobs then, the controller crashes and shows only a red screen.
Has anybody a solution or the same problem?

Solution to Kore bugs:

I've deleted all of Kore off of my laptop. Deleted the Komplete 4 collection. Went back to hardware keyboards for live gigging with Tracktor 3 for the audio sequences...

Aaahhhh!

I feel much better now.

Systemspecs:
1,83 Ghz Intelmac, 2GB Ram, Ableton Live 6.0.3, latest MacOS, Sound and Midi: M-Audio Audiophile(FW)

Now I know that the controllerdisplay always crashes when it`s triggered from a Live-Midiclip and I record knobs at this time.
When my Kore is not triggered by the sequencer (for example Midikeyboard) the knob movements work fine.

 

Error: Couldn't load Main-Plugin (B4 II) in Channel 'Instrument0000000000000000'

This apparently has happened to lots of people but I've seen nobody provide a solution - I just got Kore yesterday, installed latest update (1.1), made sure I had VST versions of my synths, etc

i've posted this a few times, but just realized it wasn't in this thread.

Kore hangs, forcing a restart -- often a reboot -- way too often when loading new sounds from the browser. This is mostly with the sampler-based multisounds from the 1.1 factory update, though everything is unpredictable.

I've been spending a lot of time trying to isolate the problem, but it's quite erratic. Everything else (all of komplete 4, and the rest of my music equipment) works really well, so I don't think it's a hardware problem.

Actually, the other day, after restarting things many times, it worked flawlessly until I rebooted. It seems to crap on me whenever I get confident enough to try to use it in an actual project.

This happens in both standalone and as a VST.

Are there any known bugs relating to this? I'm getting paranoid that I'm the only person seeing it.

Is there any way I can provide more information about what's going on?

Reordering Performances in the Performance List

In the Performance List (in the Browser, not Live), the reordering of Performances does not seem to work on my system.

Dragging a Performance upward will "overwrite" earlier performances in the list. Dragging down works like expected. What I expect to happen is that the dragged Performance is moved to the position indicated by the red line, and that the Performances after the red line are moved down one step in the list.

I have not found it documented anywhere how this reordering is supposed to work, so this bug report is based on what I expect.

I am on a Dell laptop running WinXP SP2 and Kore 1.1.

Using KORE with none NI Midi Interfaces.

For playing Kore live i bought a M-Audio Midi Transmitter. Now I can play with my Roland K-7 remote Keyboard without a cable connected to my lap - thats much more save (no more "near - pul -downs of lap and interfaces when the cable gets shorter)

so far so good.

but using the m-audio i found out a nasty bug of kore.
i only get the m-audio recognised when i close kore with all midi interfaces deselected, then connecting the m-audio, starting kore again and then selecting the m-audio ports.
then - and only then i get midi input into kore.

this bug is also reproducable using a focusrite saffire midi input for example.

the interace must be unplugged. i have to start kore, deselect it. then i have to plug the interface - start kore again - select the midi inputs of the saffire - midi works.

if i start the lap with all interfaces connected and start kore i get no midi in.

thats boring....

 

No Menu Display in Kore Controller

Im Starting a new Kore Project.
I select Absynth 4 and select a sound.
In the KORE Controller Display the 2 Pages to control Absynth 4 are displayed correctly.

I save the Project.

Later on i start Kore again. I Load my Project with Absynth 4. The Disply in the edot pages in the Controller stays emty.

i have to remove absynth and load absynth again and have to select the sound again - then the display shows me values again.

the bug stays the same when i use kore inside cubase sx.
when i load the project for the next session the edit display pages of the kore controller always show - nothing.

in fact that means that kore is unusable for continuing recording session later on....

 

Hi,

I have two major bugs to report.
- First their is always a High noise when I close down the computer. That is coming from speakers or headphones getting out of Kore soundcard.

- Secondly, 24/96 khz resolution for playback or recording makes most audio applications crashing. So it is definitely unusable. That is a driver problem. And their is always a constant latency problem (delay)for input instruments to get a quality playback.

My computer setting is :
Apple mini 1,25 Ghz G4 ; OS X 4.8 ; Cubase 4 ; DP5 software ; Komplete 4 kit ; Kore soundcard and MOTU 896 firewire soundcard.

 

And the lcd screen button doesn't work for turn off and on the light pn Live 6.0.5...

The pages are still there; they just relocated to the default pages instead of the user pages.

I'll agree it's aggravating; hopefully it'll be fixed in the next update.

Rearranging Presets in a performance causes multiple issues

When ever I rearrange presets in a performance I am having multiple issues. Instraments I turned off in some presets suddenly turn on. Sometime this occurs in multiple presets that had it turned off. Even bouncing around preset cause this as well. Outputs change. Sometime kore controller assignments change or dissapear. Also Kore control assignments keep getting set to "master" instead of the source channle that I assigned. This especially happens after quiting kore, and then reloading my performance. I am using this rig live to run about 26 synths for a live show. These issues are driving me crazy. Everytime I make a set change I have to run through EVERY preset to make sure nothing got changed, and almost everytime some is changed.

I can definately say that it I can set up a performance that is working correctly. Save my changes. Close Kore. Reboot. Reload Kore and my performance, and almost everytime something does not load correctly. Mostly this has been Kore control assignments.
