The new delay fix is actually not working so great for me. Sometimes when turning on the effect, the song just mutes - no delay comes out and the song cant be heard anymore. A quick off and then on - same process now has the delay coming in properly. Its random so I cant isolate the reasoning.

I may have figured out one of the issues.. try this:

    1) Have the Delay engaged (on) on Advanced FX slot 1.
    2) Set D/W on 50 and the FRZ button pressed
    3) Play a song and then hit the tracks effect 1 button
    * It wont play anything because the FRZ is pressed - which I assume is correct.

4 ) Now turn off the effect 1 button on the track while its still playing (you will now hear the song again)
    5) Now turn off the FRZ button
    6) Now press the tracks effect 1 button again

Now either it will delay the sound out as if the FRZ is still pressed (even though it isnt on) OR it will mute the track and nothing will play. Its supposed to delay like normal but it doesnt.
    ---
    I noticed another problem

Play a song, have the delay on, d/w anywhere below 50. Hit FRZ - song will FRZ out. Now turn off FRZ... songs supposed to continue to play at the current time marker BUT it plays as if the D/W is on 100 so it plays the song behind the play marker (the delayed sound plays). Turn off effect and the song then plays at the correct position.

Out of interest, what was 'fixed' in Delay in 1.2.3?

Yeah both delays are a little funky now, think this is the first time I might track back to the old version

    I downgraded down to 1.2.2

While u guys are addressing this issue - please also look into the new D/W function on the Delay. Its no longer fluid after 50. Can you revert it back to the old way or keep Delay T3 the old way and Delay the new way.

Since NI still doesn't seem to consider it necessary to give us a detailed information about what things have been changed, there is nothing but a tiny comment on one message that states "Effect reset issues fixed". This might be it - or then it might be under "Various other fixes". Hard to say.

Just so that you know; we are only users... as far as is known, NI's support- or R&D-personnel do not spend their time reading the forum (but some of the moderators do relay them information concerning "problem trends"). With this in mind, everyone experiencing problems/bugs/"features" with Traktor should be in contact with product support personally so that they might get information about these problems and would have the possibility to address the issues.

I can't refrain from mentioning - again - that if NI appointed one (possibly two, because there are user forums in both english and german) support technician to simply follow the discussions on the forums, they would possibly have a lot clearer picture of what "the people in the field" are experiencing... granted, it is possible that they've already done that - if they have, it does not show. But - as has been pointed out previously... NI is not my company... I'm just a guy purchasing their software.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully they get word of this issue. Im too used to Serato's impeccable customer service. They answer forum posts fairly quick.

I just confirmed this issue too.

Why can't NI just leave things that are working well alone?

    :(

I don't ever think I've come across a more incompetent and pointlessly secretive set of developers.

    :(

This plus a real changelog would go a long way.

That's what I don't Understand, everyone is downgrading to the version before 1.2.3, I thought people were having this problem before this last upgrade, but apparently it started in this very fresh version. At least to me!

They must have had a very good reason to mess the delay FX.

I hope they fix it as soon as possible, specially now that it is an official bug.

    I'd like to hear it.

Personally I'm more annoyed that this wasn't picked up in beta. If ever there was a case for public beta releases, this is it.

The beta test team can't be trusted to pick up bugs in commonly used parts of Traktor.

Is there an official area where I can log this bug so they can become aware of it? I, too am surprised that a commonly used option such as the delay effect fell thru the beta testing cracks. Perhaps NI needs more beta testers testing their products before they release them.

In the support area, you can fill in a bug report for NI . I already did, but in this case I think it is never too much.

Actually, I suggest everyone to take few minutes and write a bug report for NI, I guess this is the best way to make them aware of it.
