1.8 all kits gone?

Since the update it seems all of my kits are gone.
Still have all fx and samples in the browser but Maschine won't load any of its kits. Not the factory ones and not the 3rd party kits I have bought.
Now I've tried rescanning and setting up new paths with no success.
Tried downgrading from the dvd setup and upgrading again...nothing.
Do I have to reinstall everything?
Haven't found any uninstall exe files so far.
Man having 1.8 in a crippled version sucks

Edit:
I have all the samples on another drive as the install.
When I set the user path to this drive and scan does scan for files but when I check for the files nothing has been loaded.
Now when I check back at user file path the path is set back to the standard C drive...
Whats going on with this madness lol

 

im having weird things too everytime i start maschine its rescanning my libaray and copying some of the samples so i have multiples of the same sounds all labelled the same .so now its a bit of a nightmare and very time consuming to find some samples because to find the kik i want i have to go threw hundreds of the same kiks to find the one i want..

 

You need to find the missing folders on your hard drive and point maschine at that
folder and create a user path to the missing files and rescan...

the scan at startup isnt ticked its never been ticked but it still scans and reorginises my data everytime i start it its not scanning all my plugins it seems its scanning my drums .
a few days ago it had the correct 1.5 labels on my kits but today its deleted them and put all the drums together again its also added my own kits too the offical maschine kits so its hard to find some now..

 

Launch all your NI plug-ins in stand alone first. Once you do that and launch Maschine, it will trigger a library scan the next 1-2 times you launch Maschine. After that it should not be scanning your library unless you add NI content or do it yourself manually. Also check that your paths are correct for your Maschine Library under the Library tab in preferences.

There is also an issue when saving kits or projects with samples to the standard user directory. When you save groups with samples or projects with samples to the standard user directory, Maschine will add those samples to the browser once a user path scan takes place. Unfortunately, it does not check for or resolve duplicates if the same samples are already in the browser. The solution is to save your projects and groups with samples to another location outside the standard user directory. You should also move all the contents of your group and project folders from the standard user directory to a custom folder in another location.

 

yep i have launched all my plugins in standalone mode and the issue im having is only happening since i updated to 1.8.

it now takes over 10 minutes now from first click too boot maschine software..its constantlly rebuilding the data base it says deleteing then it shows how many thousand its deleted then it rescans and says new content added but it hasnt its just rescanned the database again.
i havent moved and plugins or its data since my very first install and the only new things ive added are a few expansion packs.
ive got into a routine now off ill click to start maschine ill then go downstairs make a coffee and some toast goto the toilet then ill go back in the studio sit down eat some toast and itll start thats how long it takes i can do all that and itll just start as im eating ..lol

 

You keep having weird issues no one else is. Try my suggestion in the other thread below and check that Maschine and scanapp is not being fire-walled.

Maschine should not be firewalled so it can function fully. Scannapp is the app that scans your plug-ins and NI libraries. They need to communicate with each other and the firewall should not interupt that. Usually not a problem because Windows won't block Maschine but I had a plug-in that would not work until I allowed Maschine more access. Just something to try. Also make sure you do not have duplicate folders in your user paths and libraries.

As a last resort you can try moving your database files to another location. This will force Maschine to rebiuld it from scratch. Make sure it is safe in another location though and don't just delete it.

 

The solution is to navigate to Maschine Library > Groups > Kits in the DISK part of the Maschine browser
. Here you can go through the kits, and if they haven't got a Kits tag, they are 1.5 Kits. You can add the kits back in

Well... Up and running... All of the 1.5 kit are back. All of them
had kit in the tag. So I created another use path to the kits
and POW... Split mode is not working... : (

Well at least the kits are back : )
