I was wondering myself. I use a 2007 Intel iMac as my music machine, it came with 10.4 which I updated to 10.5 when it came out. All my NI products kept working.

With 10.6 I really want to do a clean install otherwise I probably cannot (fully) benefit from it.

Should I be able to install all my NI products without problems on 10.6?

I want to know about SL capability as well.

I asked a similar question in the Guitar Rig forum and have not gotten an answer.

I have absolutely no official information, however, my hunch is that everything should work in 10.6. We'll find out Friday! I definitely recommend not upgrading if you are a professional in the midst of work that cannot be interrupted. And I definitely recommend, if you do upgrade, make a backup clone of your drive before moving to 10.6, just in case.

However, I'm hopeful that it shouldn't cause any issues for NI products.

I have ordered SL for each of our Macs, however, I don't plan to install it for the first week or two. Once the braver souls have paved the trail and have reported what they have found, then I will decide when to complete the installs.

    Thanks for the info.

yep, sage décision ! Waiting some weeks before updating is the good choice... and we'll see.
    Some working progress.

    Upgrading or not...

Good to see that they've updated the SL compatibility page. It seems running a 64-bit kernel is out of the question for a while (for me at least) as the Kore2 usb driver is still 32-bit only (and will be for quit some time I guess).

I have 10.6 here but will probably wait with the upgrade, at least until a have a complete copy of my current hdd.

Is this not the case with most audio applications currently, not just NI?

All fine here running 10.6 but all the "old" Native Powered libraries must be reauthorized via Service Center.
