    Just wondering if anyone upgraded yet.

    I dont use timecode or struggle with any of the issues that 2.0.2 seems to fix so im a bit reluctant to upgrade unless there is some new addon features (or whatever) that arent listed in the "Fix" list.

    Never touch a running system....

    but: I did some tests regarding the CPU load when Traktor is idle (i.e. launched but no track playing). And Windows 7 and on Mac OS X Activity Monitor, Task Manager and the Audio Engine Load indicator in the Traktor header shows less load. And I assume that this optimization results in more available CPU time while Traktor is not idling

    That's enough to sell me on upgrading.

    rainherh - does it install side-by-side with 2.0.1?

    Why does the installation try to copy your folder contents?

    And, can we expect this behavior with every update?

    - you will get a new 2.0.2 folder below your documents folder
    - the installer should create a copy of the exe/app in program files/[blabla]/Native Instruments/Traktor 2/Backup

    Maybe good questions for the next Traktor On The Record Session?

    Cool, so we can fallback on the previous version then

    Yes, but I doubt that it will be necessary.

    At the risk of sounding impatient, I'd rather have an answer now ;)

    the Audio Load level is not fully corrected in this update there are improvements based on my observations. There are improvements to Timecode Control that scratch users will find useful.

    I bought the TSD2 Upgrade at release and was very disappointed when i wasnt able to solve my dropout problem. Im a heavy Scratchnerd, so 32kbs @ 48 khz was a must have for me.
    I was waiting for too long for this patch so i grabbed it today and installed it.

    -> The BPM Numbers are more steady than before (you were only able to guess the numbers after the decimalpoint)
    -> Traktor Scratch Duo Users are now able (again!) to resize the columns and the font
    and best of all:

    -> I tried scratching with 64kbs @ 96 khz + keylock + fx.
    The CPU Meter is still red, but i experienced not a single drop out for the last twenty minutes.

    So for me, alle the addressed problems are solved!
    THX NI! :) :) :) :) :)

    @Marc
    I think that this is standard now from Traktor 2.0.0 onwards. In case that the internal file formats change (TSI file, stripes, collection...) you have a defined way to go back to an earlier version. And I think that it is done no matter if there are changes in the file formats of the named files or not.

    Have given a spin on both macbook and old and ageing compaq was no surprise that MB now works fine and after some jiggery pokery with acpi and turning off dvd, indexing, media player and windows search and internet explorer managed to get the new 2.9.8 audio driver perfoming at 15 ms on the old compaq cq60 (which is very underpowered) which equates roughly to 6 and a bit ms in old traktor measurements so no to bad didnt have any drop outs so good job NI what i would say though is if you are not pc savy then you may still have issues with Traktor. People be kind to others who are struggling as there will be some

    Tnx Rainer - reason I ask is my Traktor folder is 2,5 GB.
    I would only want to duplicate it when needed.

    Yes, I can understand it. If you are happy with 2.0.2 after some days checking you still can move 2.0.1 folder to an external backup drive, just in case......

    There are NO ad-on features in the update. All that is in the release is in the fix list.

    the load on the cpu is much much lower even when i asign 2 turntables to control 4 decks. I need to test this further but i can see a definite improvement. I think NI added those red squares at the end of the main level meters. Correct me if i am wrong.
