I have found the same behavior in my setup. The waveform before the marker disappears unless you rewind.....
Is that a bug...or a new "Feature"? That is one of the MOST annoying things with this new TP2.

It is a bug. It will get fixed in some future update.

If you jump forward Traktor caches the audio and the waveform from the new playmarker position forward. That's why the waveform to the left of the playmarker disappears.

What version are you on. You need to update to 2.0.2

guys, it looks like a problem which appeared with 2.0.2 version for me. I had no popups before (1.2.6 & 2), no high cpu usage etc before.

but with 2.0.2 I realized, that after few hours (4+) of playing, something similar is happening. cpu load indicator is not running to red levels, actually stays below 15%, but system behaves like lacking cpu power, screen updates are not super fast, playing four tracks feels like on the limit etc.

of course I don't play any tracks longer than 7min, but I use sample decks a lot. And you gave me an idea. I'm not stopping the loops sometimes (just lowering the volume), so they play sometimes longer than that (sometimes 20min, can be even 60min).

it can then indicate same problem

    same here...

playing loops for more than 20 minutes or longer mixes, causes the cpu meter to peak each few seconds and therefore ends in pops and clicks. the bufferunderrun counter then rises each few seconds. you can also reproduce this when keylock is on and pitching is +4 or more.

when playing regularly without playing loops for longer time no problem at all here.
no bufferunderrun in a 12 hour set when using effects filters keylock. even at very low latencies 44khz 64 sampes 1 ms usb buffer.

also recognized that stopping playback and restart it eliminates the spiking, at least for this loop or mix. instead of stopping playback you could also very easily set cue and press restart from cue, same effect..... when the cpu meter was spiking before everything is ok again.

    cheers

another thing i noticed recently is that you should avoid layout switching to a layout where there is no mixer section at all.

probably due to the longer wave form cpu spikes are caused, this was already reproduced by an other guy.

workaround here is simple..... just activate the mixer section in all of you layouts or deactivate it in all of your layouts.

    cheers

2.0.2 update doesnot allow the audio 8 dj settings

Hello, This is my 2nd time trying to install the 2.0.2 version.

I am having problem with the audio 8 dj settings, in 2.0.2 I am not able to open the control pannel for the sound card. Also I donot see the NI USB device on the preferences with this latest update.

My problems are in Early late 2009 Macbook Pro with 4 gig ram, leopard runningh

Once I go back to 2.0.1 version, I am able to see the NI USB audio in system preference. Also I can open the control panel for the audio 8 dj settings and see the usb error and the driver version

I have not connected the audio device while doing the update. I see no one have posted with the problems, May be it is just me having the issue.

    Any guidance will be great.....

    Thanks.
