2.5 + CDJ -1000's = Problems

Hi All,

Apologies in advance if this is a common issue but i dont know what to search for to find related posts!



I just bought a pioneer DJM-T1 mixer that allows cdj-1000's to be used with traktor.

Is it just me or is it just unusable to traktor 2.5?

Any changes i make to the TEMPO slider on the CDJ-1000 takes about 4 or more seconds to update on traktor (it would take me about 20-30seconds just to be able to match the tempo!).

Also hitting CUE on the CDJ makes the needle point on trackor bounce all over the place? and have to reload the song to get it to match up again.

It seems to be the most difficult setup I have ever used. Please tell me this is not normal as it's just unusable....

I have noticed exactly the same thing.

Although the visual of the tempo slider is delayed, the actual playback tempo sounds to be realtime which is lucky.

2.0.3 didnt have this problem (2.1.3 appears to have same issue)

The CUE thing happens to me also.

Really upset about this, ruined my gig the other night. i had to stop and roll back half way through set.

 

I think that's the problem i am having with the tempo slider.

I didnt spend long enough attempting to play with these issues. But if i was to change the temp on the CDJ from 128.00bpm to 140.00bpm, the BPM display on tracktor would slooowly count up and up until it reaches the BPM that the CDJ is playing at.. when you would expect that it would be almost simultaneous?

I am pretty annoyed after spending that much money on hardware and it doesnt work..
If native-instruments spent as much time in testing version 2.5 as they did advertising it they may actually have a product that works.

I can tell you if our software dev team realeased that kind of quality (or lack of) at our company, heads would roll...

 

Did you open a bugreport to NI about the issue already?

I suggest people create bugreports so *hopefully* these annoying bugs will finally be fixed in upcoming 2.5.x versions..

 

Please open a bug report to NI support about the CD timecode CUE issue.. it has been broken in multiple versions now, so we really need to push NI to fix it!
