    Hello all.

I seem to have some toubles with autogain settings writting to the track file in new 2.6.1 update :

I do match level of all my tracks with autogain values while beatgriding, so after finished, I click the "lock" button (make autogain knob disappear) so autogain & beatgrid should be fixed & saved with track.

    this worked with 2.6

however from 2.6.1, the Autogain value that I input manually, is not saved. It always return to the Traktor initially "analysed autogain value"

(very shitty analysis BTW, always applying positive gain, when MP3 or WAV already peak at 0dBFS...)

When I load the track again. Even with the lock function ON, applied autogain is the one that was analysed, not the I inputed and normally saved with track...

I also cannot Edit the "autogain tab" in the track properties. Case seems to be locked.

Does anybody have any clue about this case ?

I don't want to be tied to Traktor awful level analysis....

    Thanks for your answers !

I have same problem. I do edit of autogain but while the track is loaded in deck any changes are not saved.
You can edit autogain level when track is unloaded, then changes will be saved. Mayby that will help you.

Unfortunately its not possible to change beatgrid without track loaded in deck :D and thats my problem :D. Cant save cues and grid.

    peace

That is just retarded... I mean why did NI do this?. You have to have the track loaded to edit gain, cause you have to play the track to see your adjustments. Man this sucks.

If you press the Lock after changing the gain, the value will not be saved.

Leave the track unlocked and your gain changes will be saved. Not a huge problem but hopefully it'll be fixed next release.

I also found solution on my Side.

I think its in the way traktor handle its library savings :

If I load track > unlock > edit autogain > lock & load another track, Autogain value will not be saved.

I must Load track > unlock > edit autogain > load other track > reload original track > lock >then load another track again. Then All the value are saved.

I guess Traktor only save autogain value when removong track from deck. not when clicking "lock". Quite painful for lot of editing ...

Be careful about another library Issue ! >

If you edit a whole bunch of track like my previous way, you think everything is fine, then want to change some metadata by direct edit into library browser, the track is again all ****ed up ! Even with lock on & track not loaded in deck.

Hangaround is to edit metadata before editing autogain, or to "Exit traktor", so it make a general "library storing" and then come back & edit.

Just once, I'd like to see NI issue a release that did nothing but fix their bugs - no new features allowed. That simple change management procedure (fairly standard when I was a coder) might give us a chance to have a stable working release, without needing elaborate brain surgery just to get our sets to perform the way they did before the "upgrade".
