    try this

Hey there I had a similar problem in 2.6.2 and I found it was
one corrupt mp3 in my collection that kept causing it to crash.
So I noticed it happening around the same spot then I just analyzed
small groups in order till it crashed and then narrowed it down to the
problematic file. sounds hard but not really. It turned out to be a bad rip
of a mp3 from CD that had some scratches on it. Although it would play
in other traktors and media players with glitches it crashed while analyzing
in traktor. Once I removed the track it worked without crashing.

    hope this helps

Yeah I was thinking of something like this...
I had the same problem back in the days when I was using M-Audio's Torq (rip)
Good thing I always analyze my tracks @home
Anyway, this bug really must be fixed, I expect to be able to analyze tracks when I want to

yes your song crashed in 2.6.3 but not in 2.6.0. Send that song to support

The interesting part is even though it crashed, the song is analyzed and if you re open traktor and re import the song all is good and you can use the song but if you do a consistency check it reports it as a missing stripe. I don't understand where N.I. are going with these funny updates, other than that 2.6.3 is fine.

edit i think i narrowed down the problem, it appears your song has an extended period of silence. I removed the silence with a program called mp3direct cut and now the song can be analyzed. This is a bug in traktor 2.6.3 and must be fixed.

I will send the file to support right away
The silence has nothing to do with it, it works after the cut because you re-encoded the file, if I load the track in Cubase or whatever and export it, then analyze it in traktor it works fine so it must be an encoder related issue I suspect

you could not be more wrong. Mp3directcut does not re encode anything hence the name direct cut, it does everything lossless so the silence in your song has everything to do with it.

    interesting

Interesting, indeed the song crashing mine was "Debra" by Beck
and the song as ripped from the CD has a very long silence in it at the end
    before resuming with more music.

I also had this crash. It was on a few files and is ongoing...
As said by all above "silence"...

Two files had no sound at all and were free samples from a website. Both did nothing when played outside of Traktor. Interesting point is that they were not listed as missing stripe or such in a consistency check.
The other was a track that had silence in the middle of it?

    Bad files Traktor no likely!

yes this is the exact bug, an extended period of silence in a file, the thing is traktor will analyze it and write the stripes and transients in the native instruments folder but won't write it to the file itself. And no the files are not bad at all, you can run them through a program called mp3val and they come up as ok. My work around is i scan my files in older versions of traktor and they come out file and they play fine in version 2.6.3

thanks for sending the file, we already had one more of the same type that caused
    2.6.2 to crash.

    TP-7045
a mp3 that works fine in 2.6.1 makes 2.6.2 crash during analysis (only Win affected)

Since we have not yet fixed this bug it indeed also affects v.2.6.3.

As soon as we have a solution we will releaase this as a nupdate, for now this
file cant be played in all version higher then 2.6.1.

    Best regards

Just to let you know I had this issue in 2.6.2 with 2 files, I created a thread here http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198972

Since upgrading to 2.6.3 this morning I no longer have any issues with theses 2 MP3's.

    Traktor 2.6.3 crashes WIN7 solved!

The solution to me was to analyse all mp3 with MP3 Diags. It cleaned out a lot ID3 tag and more problems in 4 steps. I also converted some m4a files to mp3. Then check consistency in Traktor and that was it.

NI support suggested it had to do with common system issues like using email etc which was clearly not the case. I'm sure it is Traktor's software. Not able to handle files with corrupt data while other players don't bother.

Ps Solve Win7 audio stutter problems? Take a look at this handy tool: www.prnwatch.com/prio/ It made me very happy, so i wanna share :)

funny if I try to analize one of the songs it crashed with it dose it fine ,,if I do the whole collection bam after a while crash
I even put my collection though mp3val and there were no problems
