    no need to do that.

If you have all the autogain option set then autogain works.

However autogain and channel gain have been separated out.

When the dot next to the gain control is blue you are adjusting channel gain.

Click on the dot and it will change orange. This will now show you the autogain setting. If you adjust the gain now it will update the autogain settings in the file.

Very cool if you ask me.

Correct. Blue is the channel gain and orange is the autogain and they are independent of each other.

as has been explained, there's no bug, the uninformed user is the problem.

you might wanna start reading the readme.txt after installing a new traktor version. it can be found in traktor's documentation folder.

Autogain is still working..the problem is in channel gain..if you don't touch it should be always at 0db,but with some tracks goes really high, something like +5,5 db

Do some tests before telling us that we are uninformed

    indeed. *sigh*

to those who missed the readme:

The knob shows you the value after the autogain effect, so the knob is at "+/-0".
If you want to see the autogain, click on the button near the knob.

SO basically you could have just said "If you want to use Autogain make sure the dot is orange" and the thread would be closed haha
    ---
Thanks but I don't even know if that doc is for 2.6 It says nothing about orange gain dots.

Autogain is always on if the Preference is set to "Set autogain when loading new Trak!
When the Autogain automatically is set to -1.5 dB the orange dot shows GAIN -1.5 dB !
The blue one is an OVERRIDE Knob for the Autogain Level and ever shows 0 dB when not adjust ! So with this override you can set different Chanel Levels without touching the stored Autogain Level. Theses Override Levels will not be stored !
If you touch the orange Autogail Level it will be stored for the next load !

There's a few rude and ignorant people here jumping down people's throats in a condescending manner, will you please ignore this post!

Just to clarify, in an attempt to help:
    1) If the light is blue, you need to adjust the gain, there is no auto.
    OR
    1) If the light is blue, autogain is applied, you can adjust the gain, there is no autogain level overwriting.

    2) If the light is orange, autogain is applied, and IF you then change the setting the future autogain levels used will be whatever you set it to.

    3) If the light is off, no autogain is applied

    Which number 1 is correct?
    ---
So I now need to map a button somewhere which toggles the state of that function... hmmm, where should I do that? :-(

The 2nd no 1 is the correct statement provided you have "set auto gain when loading track" set in preferences.
