Sorry if this has been asked but I did a search and found nothing.

Recording my latest podcast last week I noticed the main volume of 2.6 effects the record volume. I looked at all the settings and can't find why this is happening.

Went back to my previous version of Traktor and all is well.

    What have I overlooked?

    Thanks!

Upgraded to 2.6 and now I can't record.

I have recording set to external. I have two RCA's coming out of my mixer and into the D slot on the A10 sound card. A setup that worked perfectly until the upgrade to 2.6.

I've lowered the headroom to nothing, checked my levels, upgraded the driver, double checked my cables, switched out my cables, lowered my gains - done everything. When I record - it sounds....well....farty.

    I'm at a loss.

    Anyone?

Well the thing is the main out volume in the software is linked to the record volume. This was separate in the old version. If I turn up the main volume the record volume goes up also.

Is this just a new feature cuz it sucks if it is.

Hi Groovemixer. Totally agree, The recording now is also controlled via the master output, I havent been able to stop that behaviour even thoygh my audio settings are identical to my previous versions. Can't see the logic in routing the record mix via the master so dont know why its like that

    This issue is killing me.

I've assigned the booth to ch D. Sound is still distorted. As stated above, I run a R/L from the mixer through the REC OUT ports and into the A10 soundcard on Ch D. Ch D is set to LINE, not PHONO. I've adjusted all the gains and everything appears normal. Is there a new way of setting this up with the new software that I'm not aware of?

The same setup has worked for almost a year and only died when I upgraded to 2.6 last weekend.

Master volume/gain is not peaking and neither is the GAIN on the recording. All levels "appear" normal but the recording is unlistenable.

I have a ticket in with NI. I guess we'll see how it goes....after American Thanksgiving weekend!

groovemixer - I don't find the that the master volume affects the record volume at all. If you reduce the GAIN within the RECORD area - the volume for the recording should follow suit.

Sorry forgot to mention what I'm using, a VCI400 EGE with a 2011 13" MBP. So Crown not sure if I can help you out.

All I know is with 2.5.1 I can adjust my main out and it will not affect the recording volume unless I adjust the level on the record gain.

I don't mind sticking with 2.5.1 for now.

I'm pretty sure it's a change they did in the software. They will need to change it again which I hope they do soon. I'm back on 2.5.1 because of this but miss my eq kills! :S
