    Hi there,

I have a Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2 and been using 2.6.8 with no real issues but since updating to 2.7.0 (and tried re-installing everything from scratch also), FX do not work properly and give distortion/constant crackle when used... if no FX are on, the sound quality is fine. If anyone knows of a fix it would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

roll back to 2.6.8 , 2.7 clearly has bugs and is not yet ready for performance duties. I would wait.

that was my thought... but on looking through the support / my products / downloads sections alls I found were update versions and no earlier "full" versions than 2.7.0...

I'll have another look incase I missed it but when trying to install the 2.6.8 after uninstalling, it said that it needed a previous full installer

    Thanks

I've got the same issue with a Kontrol S4 MK2. I've uninstalled 2.7, but I also need the 2.6.x installer. I've contacted support, but after 3 days still no response from support.

Happened to me too. Crackle sounds while using filters (specially classic filter with ladder settings), and first time i've mapped some keyboard keys for enable and test the new freeze mode it crashed although once. Traktor 2.7.0 with Win7 64 bit and audio 8. (no issues with 2.6.8).

First off, if you updated from a previous version an installer is not required. You can locate the previous installation in the back up folder found in the Native Instruments folder. There is a sticky on up and down grading traktor versions please locate it.

But that doesn't work if you already uninstalled Traktor, so I really need an installer :(

Should have been a bit more patient imo. As for the installer, support or another member will have to help you. If you do back up regularly, I would revert to a back up.

Found a fix that works!! Try switching off the "multi core processor support " option in your preferences. someone else suggested it on another thread and its worked for me!

you don't need full versions , use the updated to downgrade or use the back up files to launch what ever version you want .

i don't know why people still use the multicore option which is simply no good .

Switching off "Multicore support" seems solve most of crackle sounds but 1) it's a temporary workaround 2) I feel the same sensation that i feel using unstable software. I'll wait 2.7.1 update. I feel like crash is waiting the worst moment behind the corner

that's obvious but that would be the same for alot of other things that have bugs .
