So what are people's feelings on this update , the enhanced mouse features are cool and hopefully there will be more in the department

I like the fact that right click behaviour is now falling in line with norms for other software and like the new cursor icons but this is tempered by being baffled as to why they weren't there all along. So far I've yet to see an update that properly addresses most peoples main concerns. However welcome any of them are there's always this feeling that the surprises are what hasn't been done rather than what has. That may seem a bit mean but then NI have brought this on themselves IMHO.

Growing up with cubase , with the right click tool box , you'd think its the norm , but it not , logics way is awful , don't know about the others , can't remember what reasons right click button did .

cant Wait to test the latency compensation. It should prove helpful with my non-MKS audio interfaces.

Im afraid with MK3 as an audio interface latency compensation won’t be very useful. With no live monitoring offered, your external preformance or sequence is monitored with the latency so when you correct it may be significantly off time depending on you sample rate and buffer used.

This should now be fixed in MASCHINE 2.7.5.

    Guys,

What should I expect from Ableton Live 10 Mk3 integration?

    1. I've installed the MIDI Remote Scripts
    2. Launched Ableton, set up Mk3 controller
    3. Loaded Ableton instance on Mk3 controller.

I see Mixer console, transport controls but can't play anything with 16 pads. Is something wrong or the integration is not finished yet?

Thank god... Now I can actually manipulate smaller MIDI notes with a mouse, such a simple thing that was utterly annoying to do before.
I'm definitely not one of the "I have to do everything from the controller" type of user so I deeply appreciate mouse/keyboard features of this century being added.

Am happy finally som of the universal features of the mouse like the right click option is addressed.i always switch between controller and mouse to edit stuff. I just hope they add more options to the drop down list as it’s seems basic for now.
Is there a way to draw midi notes with mouse but with different midi length /patterns similar to the way you do on controller with note repeat and tempo ?

Yeah, with the pencil tool. You can also use the numbers on the keyboard from 1 to 8 to select the time division. (0 turns off the grid)

Also super happy about more mouse and keyboard functions. I often sit and work a bit on tracks at work, and I don't want to have to take out the controller all the time. It has sometimes felt that the software (without hardware) is intentionally crippled. I love the hw, just make sure I can do everything in the sw too!

Now I'd love to get some sort of scale highlighting in the software piano roll...

it's has been awhile since i made a beat... man controlling software from the hardware is so different now.

So is there anyway to view my pattern on the screens while I am recording it?

I am happy, user_prehear volume is back. Losing that was very annoying.
