Automatic/realtime timestretch is new. The audio module (with loop and gate modes) is new. It's a pretty basic initial implementation, but it has value in itself. I just hope it won't be months before the next stage of it.

And there was me getting excited... Ok the gate mode is pretty cool but i just thought we had the ability to audition loops in real time to the tempo...:(

You do, you just have to load that sample. This will also audition in the context of your track and through any effects you have going on. In my opinion, it's a much better way to audition.

So u think having a loop sample play out of tempo to the track is a good way to audition a loop? And we had the abilityto bring in a loop and time stretch to the tempo?

No, I think loading the loop and having it play in context of the track is a good way to test and audition a sound.

This is a really nice upgrade. I really like how you can mix audio loops in with midi patterns within a kit and the wave shows up in the timeline along with the midi notes. Gate feature is really useful. I think this is a very solid upgrade and looking forward to seeing some more.
One future feature that would be cool is if you could record from an instrument into a kit and have that recording automatically become a loop. The benefit would be that you could then timestretch and gate on the fly without having to interrupt workflow.
Anyhow many thanks for this update. Very cool.

the loop drops into tempo pretty much immediately rather than you stretching it and it sounds way better, hit mute for half a bar maximum it seems while maschine finds its range and boom you're done, what is the problem there?

it does it automatically AND sounds better, it's faster, immediate IN FACT and changing the tempo adjusts the loop speed as a .rex would or something like my OT, this was not achievable previously....

It would be great if it was possible to trim the samples also in the audio module, as well as to drag and drop slices from sampler to an audio module clip instead of the whole sample being used as the clip.

Yes I get all this but it's not like a massive difference overall, ok it saves a little bit of time rather than having to time stretch yourself, but the loop play out of time when auditioning was one thing I thought we was getting sorted in the update .. Don't get me wrong the gate thing is cool when u have a loop loaded in but the audition thing :( (just my gripe)

What is "Sound Lane Height x2" setting? Is it what it sounds like?

I'm so mad that you called it a lil S button! LOL
Now, I can't unsee it as a little "S". Reminds me of a meme I saw yesterday where someone thought the temp sign on her car dashboard was a little man taking a dump. -4°

This update is ALMOST better than my Serato Sample, save for one tiny detail, unless I'm missing something:

Serato is pretty useful when it can tell me the key of the sample I've loaded into it, especially if I'm chopping samples from different songs in different keys AND tempos. That's usually what I do when I am actually using samples, if for no other reason than it makes it harder for the listener to know what the hell I sampled. "It's Patti Labelle's 'It's Gonna Take a Miracle"! "No, it's Aretha's 'Jump To It!" "No, that's Pat Bennettar!" "No, it isn't! It's Baha Men!"

Spoiler. It's all of those. :-D

The fusion of audio module and sample would be my aim. I don’t like to switch back and fourth between zwo plugins.
