2.8.1 Cancel/Discard/Save is gone from the Controller (MK1, Mk2)

It seems like the 2.8 update took away the ability to select "Cancel/Discard/Save" from the Maschine hardware when quitting the app.

I really liked that workflow and hope it comes back.

Is there another way to select these options, without using the mouse?

Oh, ok. I can't test it since i don't own an Mk2 we have to wait to see what others say. If you're on 2.8 then update to 2.8.1

 

Did the update today, but no luck. Thank you for the quick response.

 

After updating to maschine 2.8.1 I can no longer save projects from the maschine mk2 hardware. i have to use the mouse to click save on the computer screen.

Otto Vibrato and Cetan Whitebull I merged both your threads since it's the same issue, also changed the title to something more descriptive.

I am not sure if the feature was removed (doubt it) or if its a bug. Kai @ NI Can you confirm?

 

Mine does save? maybe a error in the update while installing. I have the problem that I can't drag sounds to other positions anymore in groups. I annoys me a lot... Does anyone else experience this problem ?

 

So in your MK2 the Cancel / Save / Discard menu shows on your Hardware controller screen?

 

Same issue for me on a MK2 with 2.8.1... Very problematic on stage, when going to the next project... needs to use mouse and screen... like at home !!!! Is someone taking care of it at NI to get it back soon.

 

On the controller screen, there is no longer Discard and Save menu. It only shows "See software" "Busy"...

 

Confirmation... no dialogue on the MK2 to save/discard/cancel

 

MKI user can confirm this problem. Very problematic

We did not make a conscious decision to actively remove this so I also consider it a bug.
I'll raise this with the team and we put it on the backlog.
