Hi all, I am planning to buy Komplete 7 later today and I have 2 easy questions.

Am I allowed to have Komplete 7 installed on my Mac in one studio and on my PC in another studio (another country actually : ) ) They will not be used at the same time! (I read some info on this and this bit is a bit confusing)

Also, how good is the Kontakt sample library for basic orchestral work?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Floyd

as far as I know the licence allows you to install komplete on up to three computers, provided that that you don't use them at the same time.

As for the kontakt library, I don't do orchestral work personally, but I guess it should suffice for very basic orchestral work...

Thanks! What's also good I guess is that there's loads of 3rd party sample library developers that are Kontakt compatible (Viennna Symphonic library for instance)...I think Komplete 7 is a great value and fortunately my local shop has them in stock, can't wait to give it a try tonight :)

Also, could you please cofirm that the registration process is smooth and easy? I remember going nuts over registering Guitar rig 3, the free version, the registration software kept freezing...

VSL is not Kontakt compatible - nowadays VSL runs in their own dedicated player. However, Kontakt's factory library contains a selection of samples from the "big" VSL library.
