An old feature request that NI just ignores? Better make another button-box.

 

I'd prefer to be able to hit tab like in Ableton but it flips the screen so it's either all decks or all playlist, the GUI is horrible when you have 4 decks and it's Bly going to get worse with the remix decks.

+1 for seperate browser window. There's utilities that allow extending the screen to an iPad over wifi. That would be portable enough. Assuming you can get them to see each other without a router.,

 

For most apps you can't get them to see each other without a router. But I do think there are a couple that you can use the apple cable to transmit the screen info. And you could use cBaq's method to have the browser on the ipad. Look above about 4 posts or so...

ekwipt: hit the space bar on the computer. Or map a knob or some buttons on your controller to screen sets and you have even more possiblities than ableton in this way.... You jsut have to set up screen sets... (or whatever they are called) You can save as amany as you like too which is pretty nice

 

I already have my controller automatically change to library view when I'm browsing and switch back to deck view on loading a deck.

What I meant is when there are 4 decks visible on my 15" MBP the library can be seen with only about 4 or so tracks, which to me is basically pointless.

I'd rather not see the library at all and when I'm in library mode I'd rather not see the decks at all as I don't use the mouse to load decks only midi controllers

I think that having the browser able to move to a second screen would be a very useful feature for some people. If your doing a lot of super quick changes and throwing in a lot of samples, having both would be a big help. And if it's not for you then don't use it lol!

Also, for the above suggestion that would also be handy. I only have a 13" MBP and when 4 decks are up its a bit cramped. I never use the browser on the main screen anyway, and being able to toggle it off here would just free things up a little.

While on the browser screen I quite like having the tracks at the top and being able to see how much time I have left etc, it should also be fairly easy to add in a check box to take that away as well should people want to.
