Ok so I have just got a new Laptop just for traktor. A nice high end Dell Vostro i7, 8GB RAM etc......

I just bought about 40 or so tacks from Beatport and 2 of them crash Traktor every time without fail after the track is analysed.

After searching this forum and the net I have tried all the things I can find to fix them. Like repairing them, removing all MP3 Tags, removing from Traktor and removing all traktor tags etc....

I thought that it may be my Traktor installation on the new laptop but the same 2 tracks crash Traktor on my old laptop also. Its not my .tsi file either as I started from scratch on the new laptop.

If anyone has any other suggestions I would be most grateful.

Sorry I forgot to sat i'm running 2.6.2 and have tested this with internal mixing and running through an Audio 2.

File this with support and attach the crash logs and the mp3s.
They will be able to do 'extended logging' and this should firstly identify if it is the mp3s.

Did you try burning the tracks to CD format and them importing them again? Worth a shot.

This would not be the first time I have heard that Beatport downloads are corrupt.

The crash does not Produce any logs Karlos. I have looked where they should be and cannot see any?

I agree it is very bizarre for Beatport tracks to be corrupt.

Any ideas why I am not getting any crash logs?

Could you also just confirm the location for the crash logs for me just incase I am looking in the wrong place?

does your song have an extended period of silent audio in it ? if so there is a know issue so in the mean time use 2.6.0 to scan it and copy the stripes and transients from 2.6.0 to directed 2.6.3. This is the workaround til they fix it.

I have just checked and I can confirm that both of these track do not have a prolonged period of silence.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

Try downloading the tracks again. I have had tracks I downloaded from iTunes and Beatport give problems and when I downloaded new copies they worked. Sometimes a small bit error in the download process can damage a file.

I would also still send copies to support so that they can have a look. It would be great if traktor spat out an error message instead of crashing.

Just to let you know I have just upgraded to 2.6.3 and I no longer have the issue with either of these MP3's.

Very strange. But if you need any info from me or want me to send the files for analysis or anything please let me know.

I have the exact same problem with at least one mp3. No crash log or anything.

How do i correctly proceed to send this to the support?
