2 very useful features

i would like to propose 2 very useful features

1 the ability to change the format of the recorded mix in traktor preferences Mp3 flac etc.
2 removal of 2 GB size limit for recording a set , com on we have 21st century

i'm really sad that the development of new useful features that are asked for for years, takes so long

 

1. You can't record directly to formats such as mp3 or flac. These are compressed formats so need to be compressed afterwards from a raw file such as a wav. If Traktor was to produce an mp3 or flac it would record to wav first and then compress to either format afterwards as a background task so you wouldn't be able to close traktor for a while thus making it unusable. You may as well compress if yourself post-mix using a program such as dBpoweramp.

2. Size limits can be useful; if Traktor crashes you could lose the whole mix but if there are multiple wav files then you would lose just a small fraction of the most recent recording. You can record up to 3 hours 18 mins in one file. Not many people will need to record for longer than 6 hours 36 mins meaning that you will probably only ever need to combine 2 split files in an editor such as Audacity which is easy and not much fuss.
However, having the option to record for as long as you like could be beneficial if you really wanted this feature. Afterall, the more options the better.

@ Cheef Roberts i disagree with you ,i know that recording into other formats is possible ,and regarding the second point, yes crush is possible ,but not very likely if you dont have an old system
