2011 : The Stakes Are High !

Dear NI,

During the past years, you produced an amazing software called Traktor which is one of the best DJ software around (if not THE best). You created a successful DVS strategy alongside a wonderful set of audio cards (Audio 2, Audio 4 and Audio 8), yet everything had a reasonable price.

Anybody couldn't ask for more, yet, you actually DID more. You created the X1, an incredible MIDI controllers, Maschine, a dream thingie and recently the S4, which will set a new standards among controllers, no more no less.

Now, 2011 is here. A major update for Traktor and audio cards seems to come. The S4 only showed for the moment the tip of the iceberg. 2011 will be a blast for us, devoted customers and thriving users.

So I say to YOU NI : GO ! After the many success you gained and the great product you have developed, the stakes are pretty high, but I'm more then confident you'll not meet them, but SURPASS THEM !

That was all. Let the prophetic troll/flamming about hypothetic new features starts.

 

Whats with all the hype about a new range of soundcards being released?

has anyone heard the phrase "dont fix what isnt broken."

NI soundcards are already top notch....they do what they are supposed to and the sound quality is second to none, how can they possibly be improved? O.K, so some people have driver issues, audio drop outs and such but thats all software related.

 

I bet they will have the same "core" but will be more compact

 

Two words: Balanced outputs. Also, a better preamp that allows you to control the volume would be welcome for those of us who rip vinyl using this sound card. They are great cards true but there is definitely room for improvement. Of course, these changes would likely drive the price up too though ...

 

If they update their soundcard it would be probably be to add an extra input for a footswitch.

Or better yet it'll be a new dongle for Serato.

I am seriously getting tired of Snobby Ass Serato users Scoffing at me for using Traktor.
Regardless of skill people find it hard to except things that don't remind us of Fishers Price just because there is a steeper learning curve than initially expected and we can't play pong with our thousands of of dollars in gear...
