    Hello,

I'm looking to be ale to use the C0 button (Just above the jog wheel, to the right) as a sift button for traktor scratch. when I hold the button in (this is before I do any midi mappings) it turns the controllers shift function on and disable all of the midi mappings that I already had set up. after I hold it in again for a few seconds it turns off and everything works again. And yes I know I could use a different button but this works well for the setup I'm trying to accomplish.

    Can someone please help

    Thanks

Hmm, I'm not sure I understood what you want to do. The 2d has this native shift layer: meaning when in shift mode all the messages are changed. Map them then how you see fit. In shift mode all messages are different from the first layer.

What is your issue here exactly?

sorry for the confusion. The controller has its own shift mode by itself. By holding down C0 on the controller for a couple seconds it turns the controller into shift mode. It is reflected in the bpm window (on the controller) as "SFT".

When the controller is in this mode all mappings in traktor do not work.

In traktor, I'm looking to make this button into a modifier where when held down it reacts in tracktor as a shift button.

    I hope this helps
    Thanks again.

I had a 2d before. So yes that's why I'm confused, you don't really need Traktor here, the shift layer changes the messages, so it's normal your 'previous' mapping doesn't work. You just need to recreate all the functions you want/need on this layer. It's a brand new page if you want. Because it's a set of new messages you can't really use it as a modifier 'inside' traktor but it allows you to achieve quite the same natively. Do you get it?

I understand it was a bit confusing at first glance (I was confused too when I got mine).
    Cool it helped you.
