So I recently upgraded to the new s4 driver 3.0.2, and now it has completely stopped working. The mixer controls in traktor still work, but no deck control and no sound.

I can press play and cue, but the waveform doesn't move at all and external programs (such as winamp) don't even start to play either. When I open up the s4 control panel, everything looks fine, but as soon as I press play it says "No streaming available. Please re-connect hardware or restart computer."

I have now re-installed it 3 times (without the s4 being connected) , with restarts in between all of the installations. I also don't have a copy of my previous (working) driver , and was wondering if somebody could send me it?

    Thanks !

If you still have Traktor Pro 2 2.1.2 installer, or if you re-download the Traktor Pro 2 from NI's website (as demo then activate after), and do a re-installation, during the installation it asks you which drivers to install, make sure to choose the S4 driver. The driver that will be installed is 3.0.

Well I tried this twice with restarts and whatnot and still nothing. Had to revert to 3.0.2 drivers just to be able to use my s4 again :S Any other suggestions?

Make sure you have the S4 off during installation.

It was :/ I'm pretty much looking for an older driver at this point unless someone has experienced this before?

I dont understand how you can re-install Traktor Pro 2 and the S4 driver and have the s4 not work at all. I dnno, seems like maybe you're not doing something right? It should work, and worse case scenario, the traktor pro 2 demo now comes w/ the 3.0.2 (kinda doubt it though), but the s4 at the very least should work even if it is the 3.0.2 driver. I dnno...I tried though

It doesn't ask me what drivers what I want to install during installation?

It's the first thing it asks you right when you install. It goes thru a list of NI equipment (w/ nice pictures of each hardware). Just check off the s4, which I think is the 3rd page. So you would hit "next" 2 times and you will see the S4. Make sure you put a check in the box. If it still doesnt install that driver, uninstall driver 3.0.2 and go thru the process again and see if that works. Maybe they changed it to incude driver 3.0.2 now.

Yeah that list of equipment isn't coming up, and there's no check boxes. I've uninstalled any NI drivers that I had and restarted and still nothing. It's like the installer skips the driver installation.

Dylan, this exact crap happened to me, I ended up having to completely delete and uninstall everything from traktor, and just reinstalling without the update that messed things up. Everything is back to normal, and actually runs fine on a computer way under the minimal specs.

    Dylan,
There might be a way to access the driver files located on the CD that are not coming up during your installation for some reason. If you open up the CD and browse through a couple of folders you should be able to locate the set up.exe for that spesific driver on the cd youre looking for.
