    Hi.

    Version and Setup:
    • 3.4.0.237
    • S4 mk3
    Reproduction Steps:
    • Unknown
    Observed Results:
    • Out of 189 files from yesterday's bandcamp day haul, 6 came back with a corrupted header from Traktor, making the file unplay-/unuse-able.
    • This was with a Traktor collection.nml altered by RekordBuddy for test purposes, which did show a few more oddities with Track / Metadata display...
    • Intersting-/odd-ly, it was always track 01_* only, from 6 different albums (out fo 31).
    Expected Results
    • Not to corrupt any files when analyzing
    Attachments:
    • Sing out whom to send the link to the files to... as it's 6, in pre-Traktor analyze / undamaged & post-Traktor analyze/ damaged format. Happy to send all 6, or just a set of 1. But not gonna post them here, so would need to know whom to send it to.

    Cheers.

ps. I tried to update the beta 3.4.0.237 to the official release version through NA, but no success. NA seems to think everyhing is up to date. Is the official release the same version, i.e 3.4.0.237, it doesn't say anywhere, neither in NA or the release notes ? In which case, this could be moved out of beta, and into the official bug forum... as appropriate...

    Hi alec.tron,
I can confirm this issue. In case of this issue, I have send a PM to Vangelis. See attachment
The affected track was a track from Bandcamp.
    No response till today

    Heya Toxicaudio
Good to hear I'm not the only one. Although bad too, as I was hoping it was only due to me testing around with edited .nml files from RekordBuddy...

Vangelis @ NI / Sander @ NI / Friedemann @ NI or any other official - can one of you shed light what this might be due and/or when to expect a fix, or let us know how we can help you to analyze this issue here, where Traktor has corrupted flac files so they become unusable, now based on 2 independent accounts where this happened...?!

    Cheers.

I am glad Traktor Pro 3 has the option to NOT write informations into the music files itself. Had shredded files once too, however that was an much older Traktor version and .m4a files.

Hmmm... I did the exact same analyze run last night, after reverting to my olde .nml before I touched it with RekordBuddy (to do some mass-cleanup, for which the in-Traktor tools aren't sufficient), and turns out, not a single file got corrupted.
    All in all, very odd...
Any input/ideas, how a different .nml could have affected the analyze behaviour of Traktor resulting in corrupted files, I'm all ears...

    Churs.

alec.tron PM me with the affected files and I can have a dev take a closer look. As a user of Rekordbuddy and using bandcamp files myself, I have not encountered this issue but have certainly encountered other oddities which never happened until Rekrodbuddy made it into the equation. There's a chance this issue was not caused by Traktor directly but send me a dropbox link to the files and will take a look.
