My Windows laptop died and I wanted to give the Apple ecosystem a chance; so I migrated my library from a Backup. Running on a Macbook Air M1, Big Sur 11.2.1.
Note that my music lives on a NAS and is mounted via SMB (no problems in the Windows world so far, running smoothly).
When loaded up, everything works quite good. However, Traktor takes around 10 minutes to start up!
It's stuck at the splash screen and displays "Preparing operation..." during that time. When inspecting Traktor in Performance Monitor, I get the impression that there are some Rosetta 2 Exceptions and "slow semaphore" going on in the background.
So, my assumption is that this is some side effect of the non-native implementation, and I can live with the waiting time for now. Nevertheless I wanted to report this behaviour and note that I am willing to assist any debugging steps, if required.

The bigger your track collection is - the longer it takes for Traktor to startup. A trick to dramatically decrease the time it takes to startup is to move all your music collection to an external drive and load Traktor while external drive is disconnected. Traktor will give you an error that the directory doesn't exists and will ask you if you want to create it. Just hit no and let Traktor load. Once loaded, connect your external drive and you're all set to go. Unfortunately, this trick doesn't work when quitting Traktor and quitting Traktor can take couple of minutes (depends how big is your collection)

Thanks - this trick also seems to work with the SMB network share, meaning to first start Traktor (of course it will complain, but open instantly) and only THEN mount the share. :thumbsup:Tracks will load just fine.
Of course it would be better to not need this workaround (things were loading up quick on Windows), so let's hope for some software engineering goodness.
