I have a Numark X9 Mixer. In the instructions it says to put the "Connect to Mixer/Phono/CD Line in the Line in for the 1st Channel on the mixer (done).

It then says to take the "Connect to Mixer Line" cables and put them into the Line in on Channel 2. (done).

My question is this mixer has 2 channels which have CD & Phono line in's and the third channel only has and red and white Phono line in and a mic jack as i assume this channel is specifically for a microphone.

If i connect the second CD turntable, how do i connect it as i am now using the Line in ports from both channel 1 & 2 for the 1st turntable.

Does Audio 8 interface require a 4 channel mixer with both phono in's and line in's for this to work with scratch pro?

All of the PHONO inputs in the X9 are switchable to LINE as well. Just flick that switch over and you're good.

Ok i see. So this is how i now have it setup.

"Connect to Mixer/Phono/CD Line" Cable is plugged into Channel 1 Line input.

"Connect to Mixer Line" Cable is plugged into Channel 1 Phono with the switch set to Line.

I also did the same for the other table on Channel 3.

If i insert the Control CD and start up Table 1, i get the piercing tone which i assume is good.

If i drag a demo song in Traktor Scratch pro to (A) left side in the software and press the play button it will play with alot of static (which i will figure out later), but when i move back and forth on turntable 1, it doesnt manipulate the track at all.

What turntable are you using? I assume you're pressing the play button on the CDJ and not in the software? Have you read the manual yet?

I am using DZ1200's. Ok well i am at page 19 of the manual for timecode control. It says Select the appropriate input mode (Phono or Line) by pressing the input mode switch on the front panel.

I have this set to Control CD/Line.

It then says Play back the Timecode CD's, i do that and i get the tone.

It then says you will see the correct calibration circles on the scratch panels. Load a track and see how the music follows the movement of the CD Player.

I dont get the correct calibration circles and it doesnt follow the movement. :(
