The other day i was checking out a Browser 3d Spectrogram. its called 'Chrome Music Labs - Spectrogram'

You can select the input to be from your soundcard and monitor your audio in realtime, or theres a freehand tool and some preset intruments.
Its really cool, despite the colors being a bit brash and there no abitily to angle the waveform.

Still, running the latest Superformula Robo machine throught it really highlighted all the combing and stuff, totally amazing to see it represented so well visually.

This would be great tool for builders and producers if this tool it built into Reaktor itself.

I tried finding an vst plugin similar but couldn't really find anything that displayed the 3d wave so good.

Does anyone know of anything out there that is this cool?

if not why is it that my free internet browser can now give me a better tool than any of my commercial audio plugins, Daws, and synths combined?

for reasons i have expanded upon at length elsewhere, designing high quality dynamic visual interfaces is literally impossible in reaktor. better to use processing or max/msp for such a task.

yeah i guessed it was not possible to build in Reaktor...

it wasn't that i wan't to build one either, i was looking for similar thing that was non-browser based that i could have to use now.
There seems nothing of this high detail around.

Its a surprise... seems the browser industry has now overtaking the audio industry with pioneering advanced real time 3d visuals and for free!
Reaktor 6 really should have had a lot of stuff like this built in, and all DAWS.

The only synth i know wth a good spectral scope is Harmor, but in comparision its not nearly as detailed and its 2d.

Its really fascinating running different music through this all night. i can see quite clearly how less defined all the earlier recordings i have are compared to the very precise newer stuff.

the classicals are great... but by far the most interesting visually to look at is the chaos composition that i started a few weeks back which is using only Reaktor 6 instruments. Its got such clarity its really on anther level.

With or with out a good spectrogram built in, R6 really is king!
