3rd party Intakt and Kompakt libs authorized under Mac OS X Lion?

I have three, third party Intakt and Kompakt libraries installed on an external FW 400 Hard Drive and authorized on my ’09 MacBook running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Everything works fine in Kontakt 2 as expected. The libraries are:

    East West Vapor
    Zero-G Operating Table
    Zero-G Afrolatin Slam

I’m considering an upgrade to a MacBook Pro in a few months and expect Mac OS X Lion will be preinstalled. Since I’d like to still access these libraries on the external FW 400 HD - will I need to take any steps to authorize them on the MBP?

I ask this question as Rosetta is no longer supported under Lion and the installers for the Intakt and Kompakt players are PPC only, not Universal Binary. Out of the three, I’d like to keep Vapor authorized if possible.

Yes, it will be possible to keep them working and to authorize them. Note that their installers MAY not work, so what you have to do is preserve the installed library -- i.e. e.g. the "Vapor Library" folder. When you get your new computer, install, authorize, and launch Kontakt, then go to the Library tab and click "Add Library" and point it to the "Vapor Library" folder. This will add it to the Libraries tab as well as flag Service Center to allow you to authorize it. That's all youll have to do.

Same will be true of the other libraries you mentioned.

(Side note: some users are complaining about Add Library problems in Lion, but this is undoubtedly a temporary bug in Kontakt that NI will resolve shortly.)

Thank you so much for the reply - I understand your explanation.

And yes, I saw that thread regarding Lion and Kontakt 5 - no doubt a bug to be squashed in short order.

Just a quick follow up, all my 3rd party Intakt and Kontakt libraries work in Lion. They remained installed on my portable HD. Kontakt 4 on Lion recognized them straight off. Thanks again.
