I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a 3rd party app that works with Quicktime or whatever so when I look to preview samples..I may know what I may be loading..Since R4 does not have this I figured maybe there was a 3rd party helper??

why don?t you use the finder? if you change the view to columns (or however this mode is called in english, i think you know what i mean) you can easily browse through your files and prelisten via quicktime.

maybe not the easiest way, but it works fine for me...

Hmm..That is what I want..But do you mean while running with reaktor or just on your own..I just do not see it when running as a VST..I'm running QT 6.2 on OSX..Weird..Would it matter if I'm trying to preview while in a plugin Au or VST?..I cannot even run OSX Reaktor anymore as standalone...I see it via finder..but does not make it very easy to search and load..What do you do write down the entire path..sample etc..then go back to Reaktor and try to find it again?

What you"re looking for is named "Finder". Try "view by column".

i use reaktor standalone. i have a few finder windows open in the background. prelisten does not work in the reaktor audioload window.

if i find a sample i want to load in the sampler, i just drag & drop the file in the audio window of the sampler module (does not work with the sample map editor), and reaktor will add it to the sample map. this should also work using reaktor as vst/au plugin.

I really cannot believe they missed this? How hard could that of been?Makes a very simple task hard and annoying and kills the creative flow..Make me wonder A) Do Reaktor programmers actually make any music? B) Is there a beta team?

ah c'mon, i don't see why it's that complicated to prelisten to samples before you load them.

and do you really think reaktor would have been possible with programmers who never made music?

It is just a stupid missing feature that by 2003, this little requested feature should be implemented, if using in a sampler window for loading a sound/sample..It is a bit backwards, to make a user have to open another FINDER window to search for the sound He / She wants. I have many audio apps now in OSX ..and not one do not offer this helpful feature..Even PhatMatik Pro now offers it in the last update..The great thing of evolution is to make things easier and more practical for a mankind, not more difficult..Even in the manual it says there is a "preview" but aint there..

After all that..I tried using the FINDER and previewing this way..then I tried to drag the sample into the audio window of both the drum map window and in the actual waveform of the sample (VSTI in Cubase SX) ..Nothing happens..So this is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ARSE!@
