    Hey guys,

So i am still quite new with software end of things and im trying to get all my dam 3rd party plugins to load into Komplete Kontrol but a lot of them i cannot get to load up in preferences. I see some of them being scanned but they wont load up while others do. Ive tried both library/user and plug-ins/locations add re-scan etc... but some of the vsts are not coming up even when i know they are 64-bit versions.

Could anybody give me a nooby run-down of how exactly they add theres to plugins. does it have to be narrowed down to the exact file like a dll or can it simply be ex. ( ozone 9 folder ) under izotope folder? otherwise have to open the ozone 9 folder and find the exact dll or file itself? had no issues with arturia products, naughty instruments, Captain instruments. Cant get izotope

Also, is it something that you should do in komplete standalone, then close open again to scan, close, then open daw and open komplete in there? sorry for so many questions but this is definitely something id like to get figured out in order to use komp kontrols/ lightguide etc...
Thank you for the help everyone!!

most of the info is in the many readmes around the place but in short:

    - knowing your OS would help
    - You need to use the standalone application to scan in your VST changes
you need to make sure you add the VST2 64bit location where you install the actual VST plugin (not the content or program folder for the plugins you have).
    - You "should" have your plugins organised in such a way that when you run an installer you would pay attention to the location of the VST2 64bit installation location and make sure ou install this to the same location for all plugins. If you have not done this you need to then search where they have been installed because different installers (on Windows) can set different paths to intall to.
    - post a screenshot of your plugin preference settings in KK and also the location of one of the plugins on your system that is not being scanned in.

Oh sorry jester im using windows os and yes when i first started out i just downloaded most plugins to wherever the system decided and then i started using a folder named vst folder. I will take a screenshot for both and send. I spent all day and got a couple more plugins to scan in but i literally just added every folder i could find with the plugins name to do this took me all day and i still could not get all of them to scan in. 3 in particular are spitfire audio, agm guitar by ample, and izotope ozone neutron etc…. Weird thing is i got ample metal bass to scan in. Like i said i see the plugin names being scanned in KK but that may mean nothing as it may just be reading file names and not the actual vst files.

Id like to be able to organize all content on my cpu but somewhat afraid that if things get put into different folders my daws or plugins may not scan things correctly as i got an ssd for komplete 13 ultimate and tried relocating komplete select kontent that i had on computer and it fucked everything up so i ended up recovering from recycle bin and put it back the way it was and left it. Anyways i think it is your nks packs i saw online freelance that i am going to purchase for all the plugins once i am able to clean up my folder messes and figure out which folders contain the actual vsts and not library content or empty folders. Been looking for videos online on how to do this but have not had much luck finding how to find the right file organize things, and make sure daws still read properly and when i go to repair in native access i can find the right dam folders that dont repair automatically

YOU really should take control of where you install your plugins, as they will be scattered across your system otherwise, get into the habit of installing them within your own custom folder, then ensuring just that folder is scanned within KK.

ok here is an example of what i think the right folder is for spitfire audio and my directory path for it in kk locations. i don't know what other folder it would be because there is a empty folder for o image1.jpeg ne and the other one has something like settings .image cache
