4d knob to control any parameter

I think it will be good if we can control any knob with 4d controller on devices. I mean at any vst. It could be tied, for example, to (mouse click)+(4d click).
Example:
1) Loading serum or something else
2) Point mouse on cutoff
3) (left mouse click)+(4d knob click)
4) Changing parameter with 4d
5) (4d knob click) to release 4d or 3) to chose another parameter to tweak.
This way user can hold his hands in comfortable position and change parameters quickly and “at one’s ease”

 

That would be awesome generally speaking... But a clicky/stepped encoder is not really an adequate knob for a filter (or anything similar)... You can make a custom page to control any synth with your 8 knobs/strips, isn't that more appropriate?

Yes. Exactly this - like this nac. Agree that 4d is clicky, maybe another 1-8 knob can be the one like nac. About learn knobs, I meant it would be good to learn knobs on the fly without prework.

I think you can make a custom Page be the default for a plugin you won't need to remap again, not sure how that's done, never tried it.
