4Trak + Traktor Scratch Pro A6 issue/setup

I just purchased Traktor Scratch A6 and am trying to use it with my Numark 4Trak along with two Technics 1200's. I've done a lot of research and found that they should be able to work together. And to further confirm this, after I installed Traktor Scratch Pro and started the Wizard, it asked if I had a controller, I selected the 4Trak from the list, and selected 2 internal + 2 scratch decks.

Now to the problems.

First, I have gotten as far as having all decks recognized, but my timecode calibration is not working with my turntables. It is saying that there are channels missing.

Lastly I want to make sure I am able to use all four gain faders on my 4Trak, but I noticed that I might have to choose which output I want. Either the output for the 4Trak, or the output of the A6.

Is there an article on how to set these two pieces of hardware together properly?

You need to route all audio through your A6 for this to work. You cannot use the headphone or master output of the 4Trak.

Set Mixing mode to Internal, set your inputs to the A6 A+B inputs, set your Monitor Output to MAIN OUT on the A6, and set your Master Output to A or B on the A6.

 

I have a question myself I wanna add turns to my 4trak also I see you got Scratch A6 did you have to map out for the 4Trak or is it synced in already....I Miss my turns Love the 4trak but wanna add the other two channels for my turns. Planning on getting the Scratch A6 just wanna be aware when I download the software.

 

You don't need to map the 4Trak as it is a Traktor Ready controller.

 

Ok Will I need another Mixer?

So When I Upgrade I wanna use the mixer on my 4trak or do I have to get a {separate} Mixer I wanna use my turns as C+D and keep A+B on the controller is that possible??

 

I am looking to do exactly the same thing. Will I still be able to use a mic with this set up ? I play on internet radio so definetly need to use a mic. Thanks.

Yes well it will be soon, I currently have the 4trak but want to add the a6 and 2 1210's. I was gonna buy a new mixer but if my 4trak will work fine with the a6 I'd like to keep it so that I can use the 4trak for the loop, hot cue and fx buttons etc. As long as I can use a mic, two turntables and the 4trak for loops etc that would be fine.

 

You should be able to use the 4Trak as your mixer, with the A6 and microphone connected to the inputs on the rear of the unit.

Hi,i think it is possibile to connect 2 Turntables directly to Numark 4Trak without A6 . Am i right?
