5.0.2 crashing on open....ugh

So I updated to 5.0.2 from 5.0.1 today. BAD idea. Kontakt will now not open on my system at all in either 64-bit more...or if I force it to open in 32-bit mode. Both crash. The thread that crashes is thread 0 and references "dispatch".

I decided to go the nuclear option and uninstalled Kontakt 5 completely...and re-installed fresh from the Komplete 8 discs...and then Kontakt 5.0.0 opened just fine.

So I knew this was good again. And then in the hopes that 5.0.2 just got corrupted on the install I updated once again...hoping that it was a fluke. NOPE. 5.0.2 crashes on open once again. Both 32-bit and 64-bit.

This is on a Macmini_5,2 running 10.6.8 with all latest OS updates.

At a loss as to why this would happen. This is a fairly new system only setup to be a virtual instrument slave machine running Kontakt and other Komplete instruments only. Two internal SSD drives, one for the OS, one for Samples...both blazing fast.

Thoughts anyone?

update to add more info...reinstalling again and reverting back to 5.0.1 opens and functions just fine.

Something just not right with 5.0.2 here.

I'm having the same issue, but when I reinstalled 5.0.0 from the Komplete 8 discs the same problem was now occuring with 5.0.0. There's work I need to finish pretty soon, any ideas how I can get 5.0.0 running okay? Something I need to delete that related to 5.0.2?

< EDIT > Just noticed that in the AU manager it is still showing as 5.0.2 even though I deleted that version and installed 5.0.0 < / EDIT >

I have yet to get the version of Kontakt 5 that came with Komplete Elements to open. Not 5.0, not 5.0.2. I've tried installing, uninstalling. I contacted NI last week and still haven't heard back.

 

Hi Brian, - I have the same crash here with the 5.0.2 update. Has the downgrade to 5.0.1 continued to work?

I was able to get Kontakt 5.0.2 up and running by properly cleaning and activating some old items that were still in the ServiceCenter activation page. Once that was sorted out, Kontakt runs perfectly.

Kontakt 5.0.2 (player) crashes in standalone and crashes Cubase 5 on my macbook macOS 10.6.8.

I have Komplete 8 and Kontakt 5.0.2 installed. Can anyone tell me the steps I have to take in order to downgrade to Kontakt 5.0 or 5.0.1? Do I have to manually delete ALL Komplete files and reinstall from the discs first? I only found a download for Kontakt 5.0.1, not 5.0. Thanks for the help.

 

I have Komplete 8 and successfully upgraded to 5.0.2 without a glitch OS X 10.6.8 MacMini 4,1 though.
