Just updated to 5.8 on Mac 10.6.08

I'm seeing an issue with window resizing. If i load an ensemble, the window doesn't resize to fit. If i hide the browser the window contents jiggle round and theres blank areas of the window. If i hide the plugin and reopen it then everything is ok and the window resizes. In standalone mode, the window won't resize at all, an ensemble just loads up with scroll bars.

Its not impossible to work with, but its a pain. Any thoughts or ideas?

    Hi there,

We are aware of it but it turned out that we had to address the issue over to Ableton development. Fortunately they fixed it already with their actual beta (which is Live8.4) and is available as public beta since today.

    Best regards, Frank

5.8 window sizing problem, PC too ?

Is this issue a Mac only one ?
And if it is a problem on PC too:
Have Ableton really fixed it in their current Live 8.4b9 x64 for PC as well ?

Oh, and what about the sizing issue for Reaktor 5.8 VST plugin on PC in Cubase version 5 or 6 ? Anything to say, please?

    Two things :

1 - The resize issue is also in standalone mode (no Ableton involved)

    2 - I'm already running Ableton 8.4
    ---
Okay, i just found the new beta of Ableton. In the release notes it says its corrected an issue with resizing 32-bit cocoa plugins.

Does that mean that Reaktor in standalone mode doesn't resize? I'm sure it used to...

I'm having this issue still with some ensembles. My Twisted Tools S-Layer wasn't auto-sizing over the whole window (I did already change my max window size to 1200). But then I upgraded to 1.5 and it's fine.

However I still have a problem with some other ensembles like Scapes which loads up with scrollbars.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Edit: I figured out that it was because it was in edit mode so it had that extra panel. Closing it made it fit without scroll bars. But these ensembles always open in edit mode. How do I change the default view when it opens not be in edit?

You change the edit mode then resave the ensemble, I think. Didn't try, but it makes sense to me.

That's what I thought too, but resaving with the edit mode off still opens again with edit mode on.
